Kirishima's P.O.V

"Has anyone seen Skye?" Aizawa asked tiredly "She's late"

A murmur of nos, questions, confusion, and curiosity spread through the class.

"Kirishima," he called on me "Go to her dorm and see if she overslept."

I nodded and walked off to the dorms and knocked on her door. I assumed she didn't hear me since I could hear loud music from inside. I cracked the door open and called in.

"Hey, Aizawa's looking for you." there was just more silence so I assumed she was asleep despite the music somehow and walked in "Hey, it's time for c- OH MY GOD!"

She finally heard me when I screamed and whipped her head up, pulling a blanket over her. She refused to look me in the eye and I could see the slightest forming of tears in her eyes.

"D-don't tell anyone," she sniffled

I couldn't even bring myself to talk. I just walked up to her and hugged her tight enough to feel her heartbeat against my chest. We stayed hugging for a few minutes before I could bring myself to speak.

"Why?" I cried "What made you do this?"

"In the drawer," she said weakly and pointed to an overflowing drawer that didn't even close all the way anymore

I hesitantly let go of her and walked up to the drawer, slowly opening it. My heart broke as I read some of the notes and seen the awful things they've left her to hurt herself with.

"They're wrong" I practically whispered, "They're all wrong!" I screamed angrily and kicked the drawer so hard that it closed fully

"No, they're not" Skye mumbled in a raspy voice

"Yes, they are" I cooed softly while cupping her cheek "Ever since I've met you, you've been nothing but kind and selfless to everyone. You're gentle and beautiful and have been through so much and still came out of it stronger than any of them ever would have. Don't let them make you think of yourself as any less than you are." I placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. "Please, promise me you'll never do that again or try to hurt yourself in any way."

"Okay" she sniffled quietly "I promise"

"Can I see them?" I asked cautiously

She blushed a bit and pulled the blanket off of her lap, revealing she was only in panties. Several deep cuts and dark scars littered her thighs.

"Are they anywhere else?" I asked

She nodded in shame and took her shirt off. Several more cuts and scars ran along her sides and on her upper arms, just above where the uniform sleeve would end.

"I want you to stay with me from now on." I told her "I never want you to be alone again."

"Okay," she agreed

"And you're gonna be talking to Hound Dog about this," I added sternly

"But," she tried to protest

"He's the guidance counselor. He can help you." I pleaded with her "I just want you to get better."

"Only if you stay in the room with me."

"Okay," I said with a small smile, happy she was willing to get better

"Please don't tell anyone about this though," she begged "Not even Aizawa. If he asks why I was late just make something up."

"Do you think you're ready to come back to class?" I asked

She gave a small nod and got dressed. I took her hand gently in mine and walked with her to class.

"Where were you?" Aizawa asked sternly before facing me "And what took so long"

I could feel Skye nervously squeeze my hand.

"She was feeling sick and needed some time to let her quirk heal her. I told her I'd wait with her till she felt better." I told him, keeping a serious face

"Next time go to recovery girl. Even if you're just resting. We need to make sure all students are accounted for." he said and waved us to our seats

After class, I gathered everything from the draw in her room and took Skye directly to Hound Dog.

"What can I do for you two?" he asked

Skye shrank in on herself a bit and squeezed my hand. I gave her sympathetic eyes and gently squeezed back before speaking up for her.

"Skye's being bullied," I told him while tossing an overstuffed duffle bag onto his desk "Every day she's finding notes or other awful things in her locker. Things have gotten so bad that she's even turned to hurting herself."

"How long has this been going on?" He asked her

"I-I don't know when it started," she said shakily, her voice so quiet we could only hear about half of what she was saying "W-when I got back from the hospital i-it seemed like it had been going on f-for a while w-while I was gone."

"When did you start self-harming?"

"Th-the day I came back a-and found everything f-for the f-first time." she stuttered

I can tell she was fighting back tears.

"She's promised to stop harming herself but I don't feel comfortable leaving her alone. I've offered for her to stay in my dorm room with me so that I can make sure she's okay but I need it to be approved by the school since it goes against dorm rules."

"Alright, I'll let the other teachers know that she'll be staying with you but I want her to come by for sessions every now and again to talk about how she's feeling."

"C-can we keep this quiet?" Skye sniffled "I-I don't want t-too many people knowing."

"We'll keep this information among a small group of staff members," he assured her

"C'mon," I said while wrapping an arm around her "Let's go get your stuff. I'm sure Ash is worried about you being gone for so long."

"O-okay" she sniffled
