(22) Haldi and sangeet

Kareena's PoV

It feels so weird sitting at the center of my house all dolled up in a yellow sari with flower jewelleries and everyone is ruining it by applying the turmeric paste all over it.

"This will enhance our Ree's beauty to the level where sid will not be able to take his eyes off her." Midhu mami giggled while saying this to other present relative.

"Oh look at you all grown up and beautiful when I saw you last time you were still trying to figure out how to get your doll a husband" grandma came forward and touched my forhead lovingly.

I couldn't help but smile seeing everyone so happy and delighted. Everything is so perfect other than my own self. Anji and Sam are here with me giving me weird looks like telling me to run away before its too late.

"Grandma she's beautiful but I'm not? you never compliments us" my cousin playfully said while grandma smiled and told her "she'll be gone in a week than all of my compliments will be for you let her have some attention" Her face lit up and mine fell.

"So you all will forget me when I'm gone from here. I'm not talking to anyone here even better I'm going from here."

"My child I'm just kidding all of my grandchild's are the most beautiful person's inside out" we all hugged her when she tells us. Even anji and Sam joined us because we all are a faimly.

The thought of leaving them even if for a year makes me sad. My eyes becomes teary. Fake or not the fact that it's happening makes me feel sad.

"It's not your wedding day yet beta don't cry now let's go we have to make you more beautiful for your groom don't we" grandma tried teasing me when I playfully glared at her she knew I don't want to get married but she said I'll be happy.

Only if you knew!!!!

"Sid's mom is here with the haldi (turmeric paste)" someone announced when we turned and saw sid's mom standing and smiling with the billion dollar smile of her's.

"You look so pretty beta I can't wait to take you home with me" she caressed my face while sitting down by the side and I took her blessing.

We all had fun literally played holi with haldi. Sid's mom left. She said she have some preparations to do.

I hopped into the shower just thinking about the things happening. The contract marriage, the merger my job and everything.

When I got done with my shower I decided to go to bed directly because tomorrow we have mehndi and sangeet which I know is going to take forever.

Sidharth's POV

It's something that I don't want to do but I can't help it. Mom is so determined to do all the rituals and today is sangeet.

We all have to go at venue where the sangeet will take place but we have some time before that. I can't belive I'm doing this when Aadi came with the important documents to sign I told him that how weird it feels he just laughed at my misery.

"Dude it's just a contract marriage not like you love that girl or anything" he purposely did that.

"Aadi you know I don't trust in love or all shit"

"I know that's why I'm telling you to chill and enjoy take it as an party you know unlimited drinks awesome food hot shot girls" I gave him a board look.

"Ya right and mom will be right there for both of us" we both smiled when things registered in his mind.

"You're still not ready sid when will you take things seriously it's your sangeet get up" mom's yelling woke me up from the nap.

"It's OK mom it will only take me few mintues well look at you all cute and beautiful" I praised her.

"Ya Ya why not wait till you see your would be wife she's looking hot today I just had a video chat with her" Mom started talking about her.
Praising her would be daughter in law.

Sangeet

The whole lawn was decorated beautifully. Mom insisted that the Sangeet should be held outdoor.

All my friends and faimly were enjoying when the host starts to announce the beginning of the show.

"Now, I'd request bride and groom to take there place so that we can start the filling our hearts with love"
Kareena and I made our way to our destinated seats.

Everybody is enjoying themselves with drinks and the music and the perfrmances were A1.

It is almost the end of the function when the host asked for bride and groom to dance.

KAREENA'S PoV

I looked at Sid's outstretched hand and accepted it.

We both goes in the centre of the stage when the dj played the song tere sang yaara.

His hand goes on my bare waist which sent chills in my body maybe because it's outside. I snaked my hand on his shoulders and we both stared to sway.

His eyes are constantly on my face which made me a little uncomfortable maybe.

When the song ended everybody joined us and started dancing.

Around 2 mom told me to go and sleep since tomorrow is the wedding day so I have to be up early.

AFTER saying goodnight to everyone me and anji came back to hotel room and removed our makeup to catch up on some sleep.
