When Ashley got back with the bags, I set off to walk before Ashton pulled my arm back. "Hey! What the heck?" I shouted. He nodded to the car. "You're driving." He said, jumping in the passenger side while Ashley hopped in the back, stretching out. I sighed and slid into the drivers seat."Let's get this over with." I mumbled as I cranked the car and began to pull out of the driveway. We were on the highway and Ashton decided to turn on the radio. The first thing I heard was one of my favorite songs. Ignoring the already sleeping girl in the back, I turned up the radio as loud as it would go, dancing in my seat to the beat and singing at the top of my lungs. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Ashton singing it too, just not as loudly or energetically as I. Getting an evil idea, I turned the volume all the way down and he kept singing. I chuckled as he drifted off, embarrassed to be caught singing. "You sing really good." He blushed and looked out the window, turning up the volume slightly, mumbling a whatever. We drove for a few more hours before I saw what I feared most as I drove illegally. Yes, cops. I grumbled under my breath as I pulled over. I caught Ashton looking at me nervously as I gulped and managed to make myself look calm. "Good evening, miss. You seemed in a hurry. Did you realize just how fast you were driving?" I didn't dare look him in the eye. "No sir. I'm afraid I was not aware of my speed." I could tell he was checking my visual age. And I did meet the required age to drive. I just didn't have a license, or a permit. "May I see your I.D?" The officer asked me. As if I couldn't control myself, I looked into his eyes, my own eyes narrowing. "You will let me continue on my trip without further interference. You will also forget this little speeding incident, and forget you ever stopped me. Now get in your car and continue your work." I told him, my voice deeper and monotone. He looked dazed before doing exactly what I told him to do. I didn't understand what I did, but I was not taking any chances on not getting to my brother, so I sped out of there as fast as the speed limit would allow.
