Chapter 16 : Allies

'That's all i can provide for you guys.' grunted Yushiro.

'Okay, then Thanks. ' Obanai stood up and bowed, appreciating his help.

'Hopefully, you guys can kill him for good. '

Yushiro gazed at one of the paintings in his dining hall as he wished them a good journey.

All of the visitor left but one stayed for a while.

'Yushiro San.' Sumihiko called out from him as he walked towards him.

'I really appreciate that you had tried to save my great grandfather from that weird illness that passed down generations.' Sumihiko bowed before he left the mansion.

'Goodbye!' He smiled as he ran out to caught up with the others.

'Goodbye, Kamado.' He said softly as he looked at the young boy getting onto the vehicle.

'Better defeat him for good, just like your grandfather.'

'Hey, little friends...' Kaigaku grinned showing his sharp-bladed teeth as he wandered around an alley full of boxes.

'I just want to have FRIENDS. He continued, walking towards some boxes and smacked them down violently, causing a lot of noise which made Tomura voiced up.

'Keep it down, you monster!'

'Know your place, mortal' he talked back as he continues wandering in the alley.

The two young boys huffed softly, covering their mouths with both of their hands, unwilling to release their loud exhales or any huffing noise to exposed their hiding spot.

Zaichi poked Sabito on the shoulder and did some hand gesture, to ask him what's his plan. Sabito looked at him with his confused expression appeared on his face.

'What are you trying to say '

Zaichi covered Sabito's mouth, putting his index finger on his lips, asking him to not say a word.

'What are we supposed to do....?' thought Sabito since he wasn't able to talk.

Zaichi showed more hand gestures which drove him crazy. He pinned Zaichi down to the floor, making a thud.

The demon heard and ran towards the direction.

'I will be the bait!' said Sabito into Zaichi's face and stood up from their hiding spot, exposing his existence to the enemy.

The stomping from the muscular monster was gradually getting louder, and the echo from the dark alley reflected to it which made the boys nervous.

'Sabito!' fired Zaichi as he pulled his pants, unwilling to let go.' I don't want you to die again!'

'What do you mean?' he asked, looking at his friend who was now breaking down into tears. 'This is not the time to cry! Come on and just finished the mission!'

He pushed Zaichi away and yelled to make noise and attention to Kaigaku.

'Heyyyyy! I am here, you slow pig!'

'Damn you, BRAT!!!' growled Kaigaku and he sped up to capture Sabito.

As the noises faded, Zaichi's head popped out from the boxes, checking whether the coast is clear.

He walked slowly, reaching the door in blue. He held tightly on the doorknob and twist it to open it. It made a small creak which frightened the poor little boy. He charged into the room and quickly closed the door as he heard the loud footsteps around the corner.
