Puppies and flowers, rain after a drought,
Fresh-cut lawn and a new plant to sprout.
A fresh morning breeze or the crisp of night.
Homemade cookies, the smell of vanilla extract.
Your favorite meal after a long day of work,
Not having to clean up the kitchen,
Getting to hang out with your friends you haven't seen in a while.
Family meeting up over the holidays.
Presents under the Christmas tree on Christmas morning.
Rereading your favorite childhood story.
Playing with your old toys.
Finding old drawings and paintings
Or watching old family videos.
Seeing your favorite sports team win,
Or your least favorite lose.
Seeing that one person you can't stand get their comeuppance.
Getting to stay inside on a rainy day.
Watching your fish swim around in his tank.
Taking your last round of meds.
