The Long Road Less Taken

Chapter 13

As I'm walking to lunch with Sebastian, Jonathan catches up with us.
"Hey guys." He says.
"Hey Jonathan." I say. And Sebastain just sort of nods.
"You okay the-" I nudge him cutting him off. I mouth the words,
"Not right now." And he just nods. Then we start to make our way to the lunch line. Our table is still empty. I see Jordan walk into the cafeteria and look at our table first then scans the lunch line and stops at me. I give her a glare and she looks down and quickly walks to the end of the line. After we sit down, Lexi comes over to the table. She looks upset about something. When she sits down I ask her,
"Lex what's wrong?" She looks up at me with sadness in her eyes. The first thing I think is that Ben broke up wih her, but she's still wearing the promise ring he gave her. Then she takes a sip of water and says,
"So my dad got a new job."
"That's great! What is it?" I say.
"More like where."
"What do you mean?" She scoots over closer to me.
"My dads job is in Vermont. Is a great offer with good pay and he'll love it. But that means we're moving." It takes a minute for that to sink in. Moving? What? We've been friends for years amd she's moving? I know it's not her fault but now that Jordan is gone to I don't have any girl friends. Just Sebastian, Jonathan, and Leo. Wow I need more friends that I know in real life. I need to be supportive for Lexi. He needs me. But I also need her.
"Oh my god. When are you guys moving?"
"We're going to start packing up the house this week and next week. They already bought a house that they like and they didn't want to tell me until they bought it. So we are probably going to be gone in the next few weeks or so...Oh my god Vikki I'm going to miss you so much!" Then she leans iver and hugs me and I hug her back. I start to feel tears land on my shoulder. God first Sebi and now Lexi? This is probably the worst week ever. What's next? Black Veil Brides breaking up? No don't think that, that's stupid. I release from the hug and the guys are just sort of looking at us. Jonathan doesn't have as much emotion as Sebi because he barely knows her, but Sebi has known her for awhile.
"Lexi I'm going to really miss you." Sebi says.
"Aw SMB I'm gonna miss you too." Then she goes over and they hug. SMB is Lexi's nickname for Sebi which means Streetlight Manifesto Bro which is one of his favorite bands. After they finish hugging and sit down, Lexi asks him,
"You've been sad all day. What's up?" I kick Lexi in the shin and shake my head.
"Lexi not right-"
"It's okay Vikki. They need to know." he tells me.
"Need to know what?" Jonathan asks.
"So you guys notice how...J-Jordan isn't sitting here?"
"Yeah I saw here looking for us when she got out of the line. I waved to her, but she just walked realy quickly to the girls bathroom." Jonathan says. I scoff a little and think, good riddance. Jonathan gives me a confused look.
"Anyway...the reason why is because she dumped me. Turns out the whole relationship was based off a dare. So now I feel like shit."
"Thanks to that bitch." I say. Jonathan looks over at me then back at Sebi.
"Oh my god dude I'm so sorry. That has got to suck."
"Yeah it does."
"Oh my god Sebi I'm so sorry. I can't believe she let it go on this long. It all seemed so real." Lexi said hugging him again. He hugs back for a couple seconds then says,
"Well it seemed real to me! I bet it wasn't at all real for her."
"Now I just want to smack the living shit outta that bitch."
"Retract the claws Lexi I had to force mine in. Especially when she gave me the clipboard with all the appointments. Damn the nerve of that girl coming up to us first thing in the morning." I said crossing my arms and shaking my head.
"Damn I'm really sorry for putting something else on your plate with my move and all. I'll keep quiet for a little while." Lexi says putting her hand kn my arm.
"Sweetie it's okay. You didn't know it's not your fault. And you don't need to keep quiet at all. If you need to talk to someone then talk to me. And if I'm helping Sebi then talk to Jonathan," I turn to Jonathan real quick, "are you okay with that?"
"Yeah totally. I'm here for you." He responds.
"Okay," I turn to Sebi, "and that goes for you too alright? If I'm busy with Lexi go to Jonathan alright?"
"Yeah...alright." he says.
"I'm here for you guys alright?" I look at Sebastian and Lexi and they nod. We eat our lunch talking about anything except the move and Jordan. Then the bell rings and as we get up, I look at Jonathan and see him wink at me.

Hey guys!! I know it was a hell of a long update. But nobody really cares because no one is reading it so I just dont evn see the point anymore. But I enjoy writing it so yeah. Ily guys!!
