It was the middle of the day. Homeroom was the same. I noticed Jonathan was in my math class. Which is good... I guess. When I was walking to my locker to put away my things for lunch I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turn around to see Jonathan behind me. He has a nervous smile on his face.
'Hi, I'm Jonathan." he says.
"I know, I mean, I herd you in homeroom, I'm not a creepy stalker or anything. I'm Vikki." I say.
"Nice. Well, um, I was wondering, if you don't mind, show me where the cafeteria is?" I was a little shocked, but I'm sure he just needed some help, since he was new and all.
"Oh yeah, sure." Then we are walking our way to the cafeteria when the head jocks of the school, Mark and Sam, block our path.
"Well what do you know? Looks like the two losers of the school are going to go make even more losers." Sam says.
"I don't even-never mind. What do you want?" I demand.
"Well we just wanted to introduce ourselves, you know, show him who's the boss around here so he doesn't go and screw everything up." Mark says.
"Yes well, it's nice to have met the both of you, and I hope I don't ever get in your way. Now I'm sure the rest of your group is waiting for you." Jonathan said in a snarky tone that made me laugh. Then they both give us a evil look and walk away.
"Well that was interesting." I say.
"That's for sure." he responds. Then we start making our way toward the cafeteria. When we get in line, I search the room for Lexi. I see her making her way over to our main table where Sebastian and Jordan are sitting. I notice Laryssa isn't there. I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation. Then after I pay for my food I wait for Jonathan. We start to make our way over to the table. When we get there, I introduce Jonathan to Lexi, Sebastian, and Jordan. Then after we sit down Jonathan is hammered with questions. When Jonathan and Sebastian are in a deep conversation about My Chemical Romance, Lexi turns to me and whispers,
"So, do you like him?"
"Yes."
