It was Christmas Eve in New Orleans. The French Quarter was a bustle with activity as tourists did their last minute shopping. In the bar, Cami served the customers as they came in. At the Mikaelson home, the Mikaelson family was getting ready for Christmas. It was snowing outside and Klaus was in a good mood as he played with his daughters, five years old Hope and three year old Charity. Hope was his daughter with Hayley and Charity was his daughter with his wife, Neveah. Both girls resembled Klaus in some way with their sandy blonde hair and green eyes. Charity was a miracle baby as hybrids and vampires were unable to reproduce but somehow Klaus got his wife pregnant. They laughed as they played in the snow, making snow angels.
Klaus loved his little girls and he was a great father. He spoiled them rotten much to their mothers’ dismay. He and Hayley got along much better now that she was with Elijah. Klaus treated her like an annoying little sister as he was happy for his older brother. He even made peace with Rebekah and Marcel by inviting them to his wedding to Nevaeh about two years ago. That had been the happiest day of his life and Nevaeh had looked so beautiful in her long white wedding dress. Yep. Life was good for the hybrid and his family.
In the kitchen, Nevaeh was busy preparing dinner. She was making a huge feast for that night and Christmas day. It weren’t easy because Elijah and Marcel would sneak in the kitchen to steal some of the Christmas goodies and they would always get caught. Then Nevaeh would yell at them and hit their hand with the wooden spoon.
“Ouch!” cried Marcel, who tried to sneak another Christmas cookie
“I told you to stay out of my kitchen Marcel!” shouted Nevaeh
“Aww…did you get your hand popped for being a naughty boy?” Rebekah teased her fiancé
“I’ll show you how naughty I can really be when we’re alone.” Marcel stated with a wink
Klaus chose to walk in at that moment with the giggling girls “I’ll thank you not to speak like that in front of the kids mate.” He said and Rebekah giggled
“Young children are very impressionable Marcellus.” Scolded Elijah
Klaus kissed Nevaeh, who was still cooking.
“Ewww Gwoss!” Hope and Charity shouted
“And they hate to see their parents kissing. It tends to scar them for life.” Teased Hayley
“Luv you are one to talk as much as you fancy Elijah.”
“Niklaus don’t tease Hayley.”
Rebekah rolled her eyes. “Oh lighten up Elijah. It’s Christmas after all.” She smiled
“Mommy.” Said Hope as she ran to Hayley, who picked her up. Elijah smiles warmly at his young niece
Charity sat on the couch and watched a Christmas special with marcel and Rebekah who joined her. The little girl sat in her aunt’s lap as she watched TV.
Klaus watched his lovely wife as she finished cooking dinner. Nevaeh looked so happy as she carried the food in the dining room and set it on the table. He had to control his naughty thoughts because he wanted to take her their bedroom for a quickie. But that would hardly be appropriate as they had company. And Nevaeh did not know how to be quiet because she was a screamer. Klaus smiled at this thought and she looked at him.
“Nik what are you smiling about?” asked Nevaeh
“No reason luv.” He replied and kissed her on the cheek.
She looked at him suspiciously. “Ok. Well can you help me with the dinner?”
“Of course luv.” Klaus help her put the food on the table.
