Paul POV
My name is Paul Wasilewski. I am thirty two years old and I was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey. But I grew up in Marlboro Township, New Jersey. I come from a Polish family and I have three sisters Monika, Julia, and Leah, Monika is my older sister while Julia and Leah are my younger sisters. Growing up I had to learn that with three girls in the house that you had to get in the bathroom first. I spoke Polish frequently and since I was sixteen years old I had been going to Poland to spend the summer. In 2005, I asked my family for permission to change my last name Wasilewski to Wesley as it was easy for people to remember and pronounce.
I attended Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, New Jersey and Marlboro High School. When I was a junior, I got my very first acting job on Guiding Light and I played a character named Max Nickerson. Unfortunately Marlboro would accommodate to my schedule so I had to transfer to Lakewood Prep in Howell, New Jersey. I graduated from there in 2000. After high school, I went to Rutgers University but I left after one semester with my parents support because I realized that acting was something that I wanted to do full time and I wanted a career from it.
Over the years I had many acting roles and they ranged from 24, 8 Simple rules, American Dreams, Army Wives, Roll Bounce, Cane, Everwood, Guiding Light, Smallville, The O.C., Wolf Lake , and Fallen. But the role that I am most famous for plying is that of Stefan Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries. I loved to play Stefan as Damon’ younger brother he is the more reasonable one out of the two Salvatore brothers. Ian Somerhalder played Damon and he is my best friend and I loved him like a brother too. I was also close to Nina Dobrev who played Elena Gilbert. She was my best friend too. Actually the whole cast was like one big happy family. But I was closer to Ian and Nina.
In fact I was thrilled when Ian and Nina started to date in 2010 along with my ex-wife, Torrey De Vito who is Nina’s best friend along with Candice Accola and Katerina Graham. Torrey and I met when we worked on Killer Movie in 2007. We dated for four years before getting married in New York City in April 2011. She worked with me in the third season of The Vampire Diaries when she play Dr. Meredith Fell. Being married to Torrey was great and our sex life was amazing. But two years later the flame went out and she wanted a divorce. I guess it was because of conflicting schedules that we never had time to spend together. I was devastated when she told me because I really loved her and I wanted to work things out. Torrey was more than just my wife. She was my best friend and I didn’t want to lose her. I loved Torrey but I made a mistake in 2012 when my girlfriend Phoebe Tonkin started working on set and I cheated on Torrey by getting drunk and sleeping with Phoebe. Torrey found out and she never forgave me even thorough we went to counseling. She just could not get past it and she became really insecure. I couldn’t be late coming home or returning her phone calls and texts or she would raise holy hell about it. Our sex life soon became nonexistent and finally she just could not take it anymore and filed for divorce for irreconsible differences in spite of my many protests. While filming The Vampire Diaries, Torrey and I lived in Atlanta. But we also brought a house together in Los Angeles. After the divorce, I sold it as there were too may painful memories and moved back to Atlanta.
Ian and Nina were also living Atlanta and the four of us would hang out together when we weren’t working. But they were also having problems too because he had proposed to her. But she rejected him and they had a huge fight and broke up. I knew that Ian was devastated by the breakup as well as Nina. But they were both professional and they tried not to let their personal issues affect their job. But during Comic Con in 2013, it was obvious to everyone in the room that there was some tension in between them. Nina explained to me about her reason for the breakup. She told me that she was only twenty three and she was too young to get married. She wanted to see the world and have fun. Of course when she told Ian that; he didn’t take it so well. Months later Ian and Nina decided to be friends again as they were that before they started dating and everything was cool in between them again. Until Nikki Reed, who had recently divorced her husband Paul McDonald, entered the picture. Nikki and Nina were friends and that sparked up the drama again in between Ian and Nina. That was wrong because there is code in between friends. And that is that you don’t date each other exes. Well Nikki crossed the line and Nina was hurt and angry when she found out. I never liked Nikki because I think that she is a bitch and completely wrong for Ian. But he’s my best friend and he’s happy so there was nothing that I could do about it except be happy for him and support him.
