A woman walks through the streets of Idris. Nostalgia as she passed buildings and places of her childhood. The city was as bright as ever. As she left the woods, she felt a growing disgusting feeling of death all around her. the war has been over for a while but death still lingers. It had grown stronger and stronger as she neared Idris. It clings to her skin. she stops at the middle of the bridge she had come upon; she tilted her head up towards the sky enjoying the heat. A body pushes past her. A boy. "come on, lets go..." he calls to her impatiently, running away as fast as his little legs could take him. His black hair jumping with every step. He pushes his glasses back up his pale face. "come on! Your so slow, Ria." He starts to circle her and tugging at her army jacket. It was nice to be back. His home. Her brothers home. The home to all shadow hunters.
"MJ, wait up." MJ runs away running into a large indigo house, slipping through the large doors. Ria runs after him but crashes into someone else coming out.
"hey, watch where you are going." A girl says getting off the ground, obviously irritated. Ria looked up at her she had black hair which contrasted nicely with her red dress. Her eyes were such a dark brown ria felt herself getting lost in them.
"who are you?"
"I could ask you the same. I'm Aline Penhallow. The owner of this house. Who are you?"
"Ria."
"Ria?"
"just Ria."
"huh ok. Well if you can move out the way I can then leave."
Ria moves to the side letting Aline leave, she swishes her hair back into Ria's face. "hey wait."
"what."
"I'm looking for Maryse lightwood. I went to her home, but she wasn't there, and I heard I could find her here."
"oh. They haven't lived in their house for years."
"oh"
"you can find her in the New York institute."
"Ok thanks. And have you seen a small boy with dark hair and glasses."
Aline looking horrified by the description and snaps "no!" walking off without another word. Well that as rude, Ria thought.
"hey!" Ria screams in surprise. She turns and finds MJ. He was bent over laughing. "you jumped like 10 feet in the air." He says in between giggles. "so, did you find her?" he asks with a huge smile.
"no MJ." His smile deflates. "but we are going to New York." MJ screams in happiness. While Ria feels a knot tie in her stomach.
