"Winter break starts tomorrow. So everyone, have a nice vacation. Dont forget to study too, exams will start right after breaks. You can go home after you finished cleaning. Homeroom is dismissed" Mr. Park announced.
The whole class cheered loudly with the announcement of winter breaks.
I on the other hand, wasnt particularly happy about it. Winter breaks means that I wouldnt be able to see Mr. Park for 15 days.
Just thinking about it made me sad. Even cleaning isnt fun anymore.
Am I exaggerating? Probably.
I went out to take out the trash, when I saw a figure of Mr. Park, but he wasnt alone. A girl was with her, a sunbae.
It looked like a confession. After a while, the girl walked away, crying.
"Hey there peeping Tom" Mr. Park called out which made me flinch.
"I'm not" I retorted.
He just laugh.
"What was that about?" I asked. I was curious even though I have an idea about it.
"Nothing" he brushed off.
Seems like he doesnt want to talk about it so I didnt asked further.
"Let me take that" he said and took the garbage bag from my hand and dumped it in the trashcan.
"Any plans for Christmas?" He asked.
"No. What about you?"
"I have work that day"
"But we can meet after work, if you want. Its Christmas after all"
My eyes lit up hearing him. Just when I thought I wouldnt be seeing him the entire break.
"Sure" I said happily.
This will be my first Christmas since moving to Korea, and I'm going to spend it with Mr. Park. I feel like I'm on Cloud 9.
"Rose, pay attention. Which one do you think suit me better" Juyeong whined.
"Both looks nice on you"
"You've been saying that for every outfit"
"Because it all looks nice"
"You're not helping at all. Beside, you look happy. Did something happen?"
"I have a date on Christmas" I confessed.
"Really? Omo omo, who is it? Who's the lucky guy?"
"Its a secret"
"That's not fair" she said slapping me in arm.
I just laughed at her childishness. But she didnt pester me anymore, which I'm really grateful for.
I really looked forward to Christmas.
