"Are we almost there?" I kept asking impatiently.
"Almost there" he replied.
"You've been saying that for the past minute"
"Then dont ask anymore"
I scoffed at his answer, he only laughed.
"We're here" he announced and took off the blindfold.
The room was decorated beautifully, a banner written 'Happy Birthday' was hanged with lots of baloons. And a cake was sitting at the top of the table.
"We couldnt celebrate it on your birthday, but lets pretend that today is your birthday, and enjoy it to the fullest" he said.
I sniffled lighty
"You're such a crybaby" he ruffled my hair.
"Now, time to cut the cake"
"Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you dear Rosalinda~~~
Happy birthday to you~~~"Please, let me be always together with him.
I blew out the candle.
"I dont want to get messy so dont even think about shoving it in my face" he warned.
"You're no fun" I snorted.
"So, how did it go with your parents?" He asked settling down the cake.
"I still havent talk to them"
"Dont tell me, you're still at your grandparent's house?"
I nodded. He sigh.
"How long do you plan to avoid them?"
"I dont know. As long as I can?"
"Look Rose, no matter how many times you run away, you will still have to face it one day. So, why dont you talk to them, sort things out. You'll feel a lot better I promise"
Everything he said is true. Saying is easy, but its a lot harder to do it.
"Okay, fine" I finally gave in.
We walked home hand in hand. The breeze was nice, the moon was shining brightly. It seems like everything was glowing.
"We're here" I announced.
"We should have walked more slowly" he sighed.
"You're really cute" I pinced his cheeks.
"Get inside"
"You go first"
"I'll go when you got inside"
"I dont want to"
"Why are you making noise late in the night!" Someone scold us while we were bickering at each other.
"Grandma!" I ran up to her.
"Lets get in. You too young man"
"Huh! Me?"
"Yes you. Who else would I be referring to?" said Grandma, as if she's really annoyed.
"Dont worry about her. She may sound like that but she's pretty nice" I whispered to him.
Grandma served him tea and she shooed me away to have a 'talk' with him.
"So, what were you two talking about?" I asked, unable to hide my curiousity.
"Its a secret" he pursed his lips.
"Fine then. Take your secret to your grave" I scoffed.
He suddenly hugged me.
"Dont move" he said.
I felt something on my neck.
"There. Done"
I looked down to see a beautiful necklace sitting on my neck.
"I thought it would make you happy. But why are you crying?" He asked, panicked."You already prepared a party for me. And now this..." I said, crying.
"Aigoo. You're such a crybaby" he wiped my tears.
"I'll get going now. You should get inside" he kissed my forehead.
And I went inside before my grandma appeared again.
