Since 'A Winter's Tale' is over, I now have to focus on the gala. Since Jacqueline du Pré was blonde, I had to change my brunette hair to full blonde on Wednesday. I now look like a replica of my mother. It's weird looking in the mirror and not seeing my father's hair.

It's been weird not having to focus on the leading part. I still miss playing Hermione. But today isn't about me because it's finally THE BIG DAY!! Mom and Micheal are finally getting married! Ahhhhh! I can't believe it. I am so happy for them. They have both worked so hard between the show and planning the wedding and they absolutely deserve to have this day all to themselves. Tonight, they leave on their honeymoon to London. I'm so jealous that I don't get to go with. Micheal is even taking Mom to go see the Royal Ballet one night. They're getting see Lauren Cuthbertson, Marcelino Sambé, and Matthew Ball in 'The Cellist'. While they're enjoying that, I'm probably going to still be in school. Ugh. But, they will be back by the 15th.

Just in time for Prom! I'm so excited, especially since the whole school now knows about Jonatan and I. Jude so far has seemed to be okay with it. He's been talking to another girl recently, so that's progress.

Xoxo,
Marilyn Danäe Minnelli

I woke up at seven o'clock to the sound of my mother's voice. "Marilyn, get up! We need to leave soon or we're going to be late," she shouted. Micheal was the early bird so he always made sure we weren't late in the mornings. Since it was the night before the wedding, they stuck to tradition and he stayed at a friends house and we couldn't rely on him to wake us up on time.

After she left, I slowly sat up and began getting ready. Most of our stuff was already packed in the car, all I had to do was get dressed, grab my purse, and get out the door by 7:30. I slipped on a pair of black, Nike shorts, my Columbia University sweatshirt, and black tennis shoes. I washed my face and pulled my hair into a low ponytail. At 6:20, I grabbed my purse and made my way downstairs.

"Hey, Marilyn," Mothet called when I walked past her door. She wore a pair of Lululemon Dance Studio pants and a Brooklyn Ballet sweatshirt, and her hair was in curlers. 'Can you take some stuff down to the car?" she asked.

I nodded.

She handed me her makeup case, her hair bag, and a bag with her shoes to carry down. When I was downstairs, Grandmother was adding some stuff the trunk. We had my mother's dress, my grandmother's dress, all of the bridesmaids dresses, everyone's hairpieces, my makeup case, my grandmother's makeup case, and an emergency kit packed in there. Luckily, since my mother's car was too small, we took Grandmother's car which had a lot more room. By the time I fit the other three bags in the trunk, my mother was ready to go.

At 7:45 we pulled out of the driveway. As we drove, Mother rambled on about making sure we had everything.

"Oh shit! I wish I would have brought my computer so I could finish that grant request for the studio while Jessany does my hair," she bit her finger nail.

"Geez, It's your wedding day!" I exclaimed. "You don't need to be thinking about work."

"But-"

"No 'buts'," Grandmother defended. "Also, I'm keeping your computer while you're on your honeymoon."

"But that grant is due on the nineteenth," Mother whined.

"And your honeymoon is only until the fifteenth. You need to spend as much alone time as possible with Micheal. You won't get much until Marilyn is out of the house," she whispered. "And besides, you will have all of the afternoon of the sixteenth free since Marilyn will have prom that evening."
