Emma's POV

The fighting was supposed to begin in two more days and I am getting more and more nervous. Alexandra was outside training while I was sitting in the library with Demarcus and Elijah. Demarcus picked up a book and tossed it to me, "This is one of my Izzy's favorites."

I added it to the pile of other books he had already tossed to me, "Well I will try to read them all. I can't wait to meet her. It's been a long time since I have actually gotten to make a human friend."

He smiled, "It has been for her too. I guess it is just part of having an evil for a mate. I try to stay in my human form for her so she feels somewhat normal."

I nodded, "Alex does the same thing. Just so you know if Izzy is as kind and sweet as you say she is, she doesn't mind if you are in your evil. I know how hard it is to keep it in and she must know too. You don't have to hide it from us, it is part of our lives now. I actually like Alex better in her evil."

His smile got wider, "Thank you understanding. It is nice to talk to another human to know what you guys think of us."

Suddenly, something crashed into the window causing it to break and shatter glass all over the floor. They both stood up and let their evils out. Elijah looked at the glass, "I smell an angel."

Angel?! Already?

Elijah was about to fly out the window when a familiar face fell through it. Andy was covered in blood and had scratches all over him. Demarcus was about to attack but Elijah held him back, "Andya, what is the meaning of this? What happened to you?"

He grunted and rolled over on his back, "The angels... they are here... 7,000... a mile away. I took out one... Have to protect Emma."

I knelt down by his side and looked over all the cuts. Elijah's face dropped and he mind linked Larus and Alex.

*The angels are here. Get ready to fight. Emma is safe with Andya.*

"I will warn the hordes and tell them Andy is not a threat. Meet us outside."

"Andya, protect Emma. You can't fly out of here in time but if you go down to the medical room you should be safe there."

He then nodded to Demarcus and they both flew out of the window. I helped Andy get up and we went out into the hallway. Evils were running about and going outside. They all looked so vicious and ready to kill. Andy was slowly getting his strength back and soon he was pulling me along with him as we ran down the stairs to the medical room. Right as we got in the room, Andy pushed everything he could in front of the door. He then unfolded his wings and pulled out his sword, "Don't worry Emma. They won't get near you. Tell Alexandra you are safe."

I sat down on the bed and wrapped my arms around myself.

I am going to be fine. Everything is going to be okay.

Alexandra's POV

°Alex I am safe. I love you so much. Please stay safe.°

"I will try my best Em. I love you too."

I let out a deep breath and went to stand next to Larus. The angels will be here any second as our senses were going crazy, feeling all the angels getting closer. We told every evil to not let one angel slip through into the house so hopefully that will keep Emma out of this fight. Larus glanced over at me, "Fledgling, remember what I taught you. You have angel genes in you so you are strong. Stay away from their blades. Let your evil take over."

I shook out my wings and looked straight ahead, seeing the white specks off angels littering the sky, "Thank you Larus, for everything."

I let my evil take over as the angels got close enough to see them without focusing my eyes. In a second they began launching down from the sky and in response we all began to fly up to meet them. The first angel I encountered, I easily dodged it's sword and took off a wing with my claws, watching him drop to the earth. I went through about twenty angels before I saw Tobias being ganged up on. I flew over to his aid and took out one of them by wrapping my tail around it's legs and throwing them out of the way. He followed my lead and did the same to two others. The last one came at us with his sword but Tobias dodged it while I took my claws to it's throat and watched as blood began to spill out. Tobias nodded as a thank you and flew off towards Jerick. A much bigger angel soared toward me and actually scratched at my arms, leaving gashes that immediately started dripping blood.
