Bright is perfectly content with his life. He has good friends, a job that he loves, nothing to complain about, really. So his sister's constant pestering about finding a boyfriend really gets on his nerves after awhile. It is beyond him why she can't understand that he doesn't need a relationship to be happy. In fact, in his experience, relationships usually lead to stress and confusion and, well, unhappiness.

"Listen to this, Bright. He's an amazing friend of mine. He's so… caring. He cares about everyone. He's incredible and he was with this guy and they were engaged and you'll never guess what happened!"

"They're not getting married anymore?" Bright deadpans.

Rachel glares at her younger brother. "You think you could be nice to your sister for once?" she asks. He shakes his head. "Anyways, he cheated on her!"

"Wow," Bright says with absolutely no emotion, and Rachel frowns in response.

"Leave him alone already, Pups," Bright's brother-in-law says good-naturedly.

Bright nods appreciatively, knowing that Nanon was risking his life just by trying to help him out. As much as his sister bothers him, he can't deny that being with her makes him happy. He misses her all of the time.

"Don't stick up for him, Nanon Korapat. I don't have time for beating you to death," Rachel scolds her husband and sighs. "Dinner is about ready. Can you get the kids in here?"

Nanon nods, sending an apologetic smile toward Bright before leaving the kitchen.

"He's pretty fantastic, Bright," she says.

"I'm sure he's swell," Bright says, reaching around her to grab a roll. She slaps his hand away, shooting him a look that can only be described as motherly.

"Sit down, you ass. You'll get dinner when it's on the table and we're all here," she says. "And you'd like him. I think he'd be good for you."

"Let it go," he mutters and she shakes her head.

"Never," she says dramatically as she begins to place dinner on the dining room table and he laughs despite himself.

Bright is leaving the station when his phone rings. His sister's face appears on the screen and he smiles, answering the phone. "Hell-"

"I know what you can get me for my birthday!" she says in a sing-song voice, cutting him off.

"And what's that?" he asks, reaching into the backseat of his car. He quickly goes to work, cradling his phone between his ear and his shoulder so he can clean his car off.

"Double date! Me, you, Nanon and Win!" she practically screams, and Bright rolls her eyes, already lost.

"Win?" he asks, confused.

"The one with the ex-fiance," she says, clearly annoyed that he doesn't remember him.

"Oh yes, the one that cares about people. Got it," he says, sarcasm dripping from his every word. "Can't you be normal and tell me you want a new bracelet or something?"

"No," she says quickly. "I already had Tay tell me your schedule so this Friday. You're off, and we're getting dinner! Love you Bright," she says cheerily before hanging up. He groans with annoyance before climbing into his car and starting the engine. Only his sister.

When he arrives at his sisters on Friday evening, he walks right in and is immediately attacked by his niece and nephew. He grins widely, crouching down and wrapping them in hugs.

"Uncle Bright! I hear Mom's setting you up on a hot date! With P'Win! I love P'Win!" his ten-year-old niece exclaims. Her face lights up mischievously and she leans close to her uncle, cupping a hand around her mouth to whisper in his ear. "He's really pretty, he's prettier than any girl i know, so don't mess up."
