Textbooks taught us physical health,
Is mental health not worth the breath?

Bottled the emotions in a bottle with a cork,
Having lost a corkscrew,
Why is mental health such a taboo?

Carrying the shame of the problems in life,
Providing a space for depression to thrive.

Sustaining the day with smile on the face,
Finishing the day with a wet pillow case,
Draping the agitation that can't be erased,
Because of the fear of perhaps being called a nut case.

The condition is such that when someone close committed suicide,
The mental illness took a stride,
Staring onto the eyes, it sighed,
"Still not gonna talk 'bout me?"
Eyes could not muster an apology,
Being a firm believer in 'Ignorance is bliss',
Created nothing but an oceanic abyss.
