"OH MY GOD. MY BABY WILL BYERS DESERVES THE WORLD!" LAVENDER SQUEALED AT AVANI THROUGH THE SCREEN. facetiming had become a daily thing for the two during quarantine, seeing as lavender was still stuck at the sway house unable to go and visit avani. at least she was stuck with her brother and semi boyfriend? her and jaden didn't really have a label i mean they kissed a few times but never had a conversation about making it official. they agreed to exclusive talking and clearly they weren't just friends, they cuddled and had cute one on one moments together and so it was just simply really confusing. "finn wolfhard is so cute!" avani expressed with dreamy eyes as lavender nodded in agreement "but oh my gosh have you seen dacre montgomery. holy fuck and caleb he's everything!" the blonde said, a large smile on her face and a dropped jaw because of the two different celebrities. "how does jaden feel about you mentally cheating on him?" avani joked brushing through her hair. upon receiving no answer or hearing any noise from the other end of the call avani looked up to see lavender with her head down and a look of remorse on her face. "oh no" avani muttered under her breath as the blonde looked up, sadness clear on her face. "bebe." avani cautiously adressed her, "what's going on, you know you can talk to me." she continued "i just-" lavender sighed shaking her head. she was being stupid.

"i like jaden i really do i like him a lot more than i've ever liked anyone. but i have no idea where we stand. yeah we've cuddled and kissed but he hasn't ever shown direct interest in wanting to date me. we've been mutually talking for a few days and i've been hurt in the past and i know he has but it just makes me feel like he doesn't want to be with me, almost like he's putting it off because he won't change our 'talking status'." lavender ranted, stopping once in a while to wipe under her eyes. avani ran a hand through her hair, she knew jaden wanted to date lavender he was just waiting for a perfect moment to ask her and he wanted to ask for josh's approval as well. the boy had been texting avani asking for her advice on this perfect plan he had set up to ask lavender to be his girlfriend and he was taking his time but that meant not being around the blonde as much while trying to plan everything and it was almost as if he'd lost track of time.

"livvy, i can promise you that jaden is crazy for you, i know he has his moments where he can be crazy and forgetful but he really does care. maybe you should talk to him about the whole situation. let him know where you stand and then take a day to care for yourself. because you need to make sure you are mentally okay i've seen you in this stage before with harry. you are a number one priority. talk to jaden and then call me back and you can rant and cry all you want just make sure everything is sorted." avani tried to explain without giving away any part of jaden's plan. "okay." the blonde sniffled with a nod. "thank you vani, love you." lavender said pulling one of jaden's hoodies over her head covering her small frame, before pulling her hair out it's low ponytail and ruffling it around a little. "i love you too. call me soon! bye" avani waved as did lavender before they ended the face time call.

lavender looked at herself in the mirror taking a few deep breaths before grabbing her phone and leaving her room ready to talk to jaden. but first like a magnet, she was dragged to the safety of bryce's room just to talk to him about the matter first seeing as josh and griffin were busy. after knocking twice she heard a very violently screamed "come in!" and cautiously opened the door to see bryce just chilling on his bed. immediately looking up bryce saw the girl in an oversized hoodie, slightly messy hair and puffy eyes indicating she'd almost been crying. "oh no." he muttered sitting up and swivelling around just opening his arms to give her a hug which lavender fell into. "what happened?" he muttered into her hair. "i was just gonna go talk to jaden about us, cause i really don't know what we are and i guess everything just got to me and i started thinking of the worse thing that could happen." she shrugged.
