LAVENDER HAD BEEN SPENDING SOME QUALITY TIME WITH HER FAMILY. after getting her phone screen replaced the girl had seen the countless texts and calls from her friends mostly avani and so she made it her mission to text the brunette back first. as soon as she'd sent a 'hi' avani had replied within a second and requested to face time lavender.

they ended up facetiming for two hours, avani explained how everyone was worried and lavender apologised before explaining that her phone had broken. she didn't say how she had been in contact in josh or ask how jaden was in fact she asked how avani was because she missed talking to her best friend.
soon after, she sent a message to the girls group chat and all the sway boys saying that she was perfectly fine. lavender then explained how she was having a girls night with her mom and sister and that she would text them all later and that's where they were now.
"wait pink or blue?" liv had been struggling on choosing what colour she wanted her nails painted for five minutes. she had finally narrowed it down to pink and blue but still couldn't choose.
"i don't know!" olivia squealed as she looked between the two bottles of nail polish that lavender was holding, while giving her sister a death glare almost.
"livvvvv" lavender whined throwing her head back in annoyance at her sister's indecisiveness. "i'll just do both!" the girl shrugged not listening to what her sister was about to say before she unscrewed the cap of the nail polish and began to paint olivia's nails.
"sorry to interrupt girls but someone's at the door for you lav." the girls mom walked into the lounge, the sisters heads looking up at the exact same time. "maybe an order or something?" she raised her shoulders in confusion as lavender jumped up off the floor almost knocking over the nail polish.
"what is it?" liv shouted at her sister "it might be my shoes!" she screamed back as she made her way through the hallway to the front door where she expected there to be a delivery man or something but there wasn't.....
"josh?" lavenders voice came out high pitched and confused to see her brother on her doorstep, his hands in his pockets as he awkwardly rocked back and forth only looking up from the floor when his sister spoke.
"hey lav." he sighed, the corners of his lips tugging into a small smile. he wouldn't ever admit it but josh missed his annoying little sister. he missed having her around, he missed her understanding his little jokes, he missed the two of them annoying the boy's with their sibling bond. he missed her.
"what are you- what is- i thou- shouldn't you be in la?" lavender stumbled over her words, her jaw fallen slack still from seeing her brother stood in front of her. she crossed her arms over her stomach as she shifted her weight from one foot to the other, still extremely confused.
"i came to see you." josh shrugged slightly as he stepped forward opening his arms, lavender taking a small jump out of the house and into her brothers arms for a hug. she stood on her tiptoes reaching up and wrapping her arms around josh's neck, the boys wrapping around his sisters waist as he buried his head in lavender's shoulder.
both siblings just broke down into sobs. continuously tightening their grip on each other, as if they would disappear if their grip wasn't tight enough.
"wait why are you crying?" lavender muttered into josh's shoulder as her brother let out a strained chuckle in response. "i don't even know." he whispered "i missed you." josh's voice cracked slightly making lavenders heart break slightly.
their mom had been standing in the doorway and watching the two interact. they'd always been the closest out of their siblings and that often showed when they were given bad news or a sad moment happened in a film, they were the first to hug each other.
"josh do you want to come in." their mom spoke as josh lifted his head from lavenders shoulder slightly and nodded, not releasing from the hug as he started to waddle himself and lavender back inside making the girl laugh sending a vibration down josh's arm.
