CHAPTER 1

I slowly moved away from this lady who I just fvcked. I stood up and collected my clothes, went to her bathroom and fixed myself. When I was done, I immediately sneaked out so I could go home. But before I even reached the door of her apartment, she grabbed my arms and pushed herself to me. Seriously? I thought I made it clear that I am done with her!?!

" Hex baby, please…. let's talk about it. "  She was pleading.

" Courtney, I already told you right? From the very start. I don't do relationships. I cannot give you what you want. "   I removed her hands from me and I moved away.  " I am really sorry. "  I walked out of her place and went straight to my car.

She's becoming a pain in the ass that's why I already dumped her. Insisting we two are a thing and should go on in a relationship is quite her obsession these past few days. I am not gonna do that. Courtney's just good in bed, other than that, there's nothing. I sighed. Fvck relationships.

I live here in Manhattan for almost eight years now. I left everything in Manila and transferred here. I needed to do that so I could save myself. So far I've been doing fine. I have my job, living in a nice apartment, a car, I can date, and I am away from the people who gave me  heartache.

I reached the building in Madison street and parked my car underground. I ride the lift and walked straight to my place. As I open the door, the emptiness dawned on me. This is my life now, the life I chose.

" Alexa turn on the lights. "  I sat on the couch and took out my phone from my pocket. I checked whether I have some important messages or calls. Then I saw twenty-one texts and twelve missed calls from Courtney. Oh god, why is she so stubborn?! I immediately blocked her number. I was about to throw my phone on the couch when it rang. I thought it was Courtney again, how come? But then I checked the caller ID and it was my mother.

" Ma? "  As soon as I answered the phone her voice boomed and my ear nearly got damaged.

" Hector Felipe! Ano buhay ka pa?! "  Oh mom... Obviously....

" Ma, Oo buhay pa! Kakatapos lang mag sëx! "  I can imagine her angry face.

" Bastos! Hindi mo manlang ako matawagan! "  I blew a loud breath.   " Nakalimutan mo na kami ni Henri! Wala na nga ang Papa mo tapos malayo ka din! Ang kapatid mo laging lumalayas! Ano ba naman kayo!? "  Ang daming sinabi! Ayaw ko na mag english.

" Ma, masanay ka na. O kaya hingi ka na ng apo kay Henri. "  Lalo yata siyang nagalit.

" NAPAKASAMA MO! "  muntik na umusog ang eardrums ko. Anong masama sa hihingian ng apo si Henri?!  " Umuwi ka na Hector! "  Ahhh I know where this is heading. It's not about her being lonely, she just wants me to go home.

" AYAW KO! PO! "  Magalang ako.

" H-hec-hector "  She's crying  " Hector anak… "  Then the line died.

" Ma?! Mama?! "  I got nervous. What happened?! I tried calling her but she's not answering. So I called my brother.

" HENRI! WHERE ARE YOU?! Si Mama?! "  I am getting frantic.

" Ano si Mama?! " Sagot lang niya sa akin. " At bakit ka ba sumisigaw?! "

" Nasaan nga si Mama? Check on her Henri , baka kung ano nangyayari sa kaniya. "  He then let a deep sigh.
