CHAPTER 4

HECTOR FELIPE

I was drowning myself with too much work this past few weeks. I've started taking over Sandejas Group and It's not all sunny. Idagdag mo pa si Mama na palaging nasa bahay lang dahil nakaraan na nagpa-check up sila nila Henri ay sinabi ng doctor na magpahinga pa. Iwas din daw sa stress kaya as much as possible hindi ako umaangal. I can't show her I am having a hard time, because she might end up over thinking.

I heard a knock on my door and then my secretary, Theo, entered. " Sir, Mr.Greyken was already two hours late for the meeting. Shall I call his office? "  Oh I remember, I actually have a meeting with Harrold. Kailan pa na late ang isang iyon?! I was about to answer him when my phone rang. I checked it and Henri's name was flashing. I signaled Theo to wait for a while.

" Yes Henri? "  , The only brother of mine, I have only seen him a few times since I got back here.

" Hi po, samahan mo daw po kami ni Tita H mag-simba. Parating na ang car, sabay ka po or dadalhin mo ang car mo? "  I was a bit startled when I heard a female voice, syempre si Amar ito.

" Ngayon na?! "  They can't be taking me whenever and wherever they want! But then I heard my mom's voice on the other line.

" Hector, sige na anak, Huwag mo na pasamain loob ko. "  Is she crying? I can hear her sniffing. Arggh!

" Alright! Huwag na magtampo , Ma. I'll just come with you guys."   Then I cut the call. Seriously? Can't my life get any better?!

" Theo, let it be, if Greyken will reschedule the meeting some other day, okay lang. I'd be going anyway. Any more papers urgent? Papirma mo na kasi parating na si Mama. "  He nodded and then took all the papers he needed me to sign ASAP.

After signing some papers, my phone rang again and it's Henri's number. I answered and of course, boses na naman ni Amar.  " Hello Hex, sa B1 na kami, wait ka namin. "

" Okay coming down. "  I stood up and walked outside to Theo's table. I told him to just call me if anything comes up. I need to do what Mama wants. She's my priority.

When I reached the basement I immediately saw my mom's car. Roni, the driver came down and opened the passenger's side for me. I sat in front and looked behind to see my Mama. Only thing was, my eyes were caught first by an attractive, scratch that, a gorgeous lady sitting beside her. Fvck it! Why does she have so much appeal?!

" Hi Hector, how's your day? " My mom spoke and I was taken back to my senses.

" Ah… I'm fine Ma. How about you? " I looked at Amar.  " Hi Amar. "  She smiled at me.

" We're so fine. Di ba Amar love? "  My mom's really fond of Henri's girl. Speaking of that fvcker!

" Nasaan si Henri?! Amar? How come absent na naman ang boyfriend mo?! "  She just awkwardly smiled at me. Bakit ba palaging wala ang isang iyon?!

" Your brother's busy. Let him be. Kaya nga Amar is here. "  My Mama lightly pinched the girl's chin and smiled lovingly.  " Right love? "

" Yes Tita H. "  Mukha namang masaya itong isa.

" Ma ,make sure hindi tayo nakakaabala sa kaniya ha. "  I gave Amar an apologetic look.  " Amar, don't hesitate to tell me if ever okay? Ako ang bahala. "

I am actually wondering how the hell does Henri manage to keep Amar. Ang totoo ,mas nakakasama ko pa ang girlfriend niya kaysa sa kapatid ko. Some weekdays, she will be on family dinner, even preparing foods for us. Then on weekends, a day she will spend with us. Taking care of my mom and bonding with her. Often, it will only be her and not with her boyfriend. Sometimes, i can't help but feel bad for her. My brother spends too much time on work that he takes this special lady for granted.
