It was now the time they had all been waiting for. It was the next morning and the group were once again in the boat with the drone. Blair sat next to Kiara as the boat went further into the water until they found the drop point. "All right JJ pin it here." John B yelled over the noise of the boat to JJ who was steering.
"Roger that! X marks the spot." JJ yelled back as the boat slowly came to a stop. Once the boat had stopped JJ walked over to Blair and placed his arm around her waist as she did the same, he was still very over protective with her after the ordeal yesterday so he felt he had to be near her. Blair didn't mind JJ's closeness but she didn't feel vulnerable, she felt angry and Rafe and Topper although she tried not to think about it as she wanted to enjoy her day with her friends as they searched for what would change their lives.
"All right ladies and gentlemen. To going full Kook." John B announced as he lowered the drone into the water. Blair grinned and turned to JJ as he looked down at her and grinned back, they then made their way to the edge of the boat to watch the drone go deeper into the water. JJ walked back to the wheel awaiting instructions from the others as Blair walked behind pope and peered over his shoulder to see the screen which was attached to the camera on the drone.
"All right, JJ. We're right over it. Ten seconds north west." John B instructed looking at the digital map.
"Got it! Ten seconds north west." JJ moved the boat in the direction as instructed as Kiara fed the tether further into the water. Blair felt quite guilty as she was just stood there but they had planned for Blair to be at work as she was supposed to be helping Heyward but he had given her the day off after the whole getting jumped situation.
"100 feet." Kiara yelled to the group as she saw the red mark on the tether. Pope and Blair watched as a squid darted passed the camera, Blair watched intrigued but pope jumped in fright and gasped.
"What? What, what, what, what?" John B rushed up thinking Pope had seen something on the camera after hearing his gasp.
"Its nothing." Pope answered, swallowing. John B groaned in disappointment and Blair tried her best to contain her laughter as she stood behind Pope. "Sorry I thought—"
"Dont do that to me, man." JJ complained. Blair let a few giggles slip as she nudged Pope in the ribs with her elbow.
"Pussy." She quipped, Pope rolled his eyes and nudged her back as she smiled and put her sunglasses on the top of her head.
"Come on, bro"
"My bad, I just thought I saw-" Pope defended as he shivered. Blair rolled her eyes and smiled. "And to quote the hobbit 'down, down, to goblin town. Down, down you go my lad.'"
"Pope?" Blair asked as he turned to her. "Are you a professional nerd?" She asked with her arms crossed and a smirk. Pope rolled his eyes and they both turned back to the screen. The drone continued going further and further into the water and kiara shouted alerting the group they were now at four hundred feet. Everything was going great until Kiara shouted again.
