"This isn't a date. We just ate, watched a movie together, visited the bookstore afterwards and now he's taking me home but this isn't a date.", Zon kept repeating the words.

He is having this one-way conversation with his conscience and something tells him the other isn't convinced. Still he tried some more until he noticed that they made a stop and are already in front of his house.

He then mumbled a low 'thank you' and quickly get off of the car as if escaping but Saifah was fast to follow him out.

"Zon", he called out to him, enough to halt Zon's steps.

"Thank you for today. I had fun.", Saifah said with no hint of a tease.

"I had fun too. Thanks.", Zon turned around to face him and replied.

Saifah then walked slowly over to Zon until they were standing face to face. He is tempted to take that one final step but held himself. Instead, he stared at the other and said . . .

"If you're really thankful, I don't mind getting a kiss."

Zon waited for a punch line but it never came. A pre-recorded laughter or at least a grin but Saifah just stood there waiting in earnest. And Zon felt the need to clarify things.

"Are you teasing me again?", Zon asked.

"You decide Zon, whether I'm teasing or not.", Saifah said in a straight face. When Zon just stood there not saying anything, Saifah let out a sigh and turned to leave. But he wasn't even able to take a single step when he felt his left wrist grabbed and was forced to turn back around.

Then Zon took a step closer and kiss him on the cheek. His lips grazing the corner of Saifah's. The soft flesh sent him shivers and left an oversensitive part on his face.

As Saifah just stood there unmoving and silent and still trying to process what just happened, an unknowing smile crept on his face. Zon however looks a bit fidgety and is looking everywhere but Saifah. Most probably to hide the blush on his cheeks.

The two had no intention to move yet until they heard a loud thud. And looking at the direction of the sound, they saw a dumbfounded Zol gawking at them with a gaping mouth.

"P'Zon is that you? P'Saifah? D-did you just kiss P'Saifah in front of our house P'?", Zol asked still trying to make sense of what she just saw. And when it looks like Zol has figured it out, Zon's hands find their way to his ears.

"WAAAaaahhhHHHHH", then Zol run towards their house screaming.

And the two were left both red-faced and embarassed.
