MICHEAL POV
I was trying to get in contact with the university I applied for when Alex called.
What now?
"Hola cual es tu problema?" I answer.
"I don't know what that means but you need to come to the kids' school right now and meet me in the principal's off!" she ordered before hanging up.
What the hell?
I got dressed and drove to the school immediately. Once there, I walked to the principal's office. There was Alex, Egypt, Aziel, 2 little white girls, and 2 white women.
"Goodmorning," I greet.
"Principal, may you kindly repeat what you said to me?" Alex speaks.
"Aziel started a fight with Ola and then Egypt jumped in and started fighting Sofia. They were really angry at each other for reasons I do not know. So I called you parents here to dissolve the conflict," the principal says.
"When I asked them why they fought back they told me you thought them to fight," Alex argues.
"Yeah I did but when Aziel told me he was being bullied he never told me they were females. He just told me they were six graders so I assumed they were boys and showed them how to defend themselves," I clarify.
"What do you mean bullied? Sofia, did you and Ola bully this boy?" one of the mothers asked.
"No mom, he's lying," Sofia replied.
"You're the fabulist!" Egypt replies with her fist balled up. I now realize that Egypt has a bad temper like I did.
"Mom, she's lying!" Aziel says.
"My child is not a liar! If she said she didn't do it then it is your child that is lying," Sofia's mother argues.
"I'm not surprised. It's not their fault Sofie. That's how they raise their kids," Ola's mother said.
"What do you mean they? Are you talking about our race cause I would—" Alex started.
"Alex! Relax! Don't you guys have like cameras or something?" I ask.
The principal was about to answer but he glimpsed at Ola's mother and she gave him a warning look causing him to divert from his original reply.
"No, we don't. We're considering implementing them though," he says.
"You're lying! What does she have on you?" Alex says.
"For the sake of peace, Aziel and Egypt are suspended until next week Monday," the son of a bitch said.
"What? That's unjust! Ola and Sofia were involved in the fight too so they should also be suspended!" Alex shouted.
"Especially considering they started it and have been bullying Aziel!" I add.
"If you have a problem you can appeal the school board," he says.
"Oh, I will! I'm suing this racist ass school!" an angry Alex says as she packs her things up.
She grabbed her handbag and the kids before starting to leave. She stopped in front of the parents and uttered angrily "Next time, I'm telling my kids to bash your lying ass kids head in!" before storming out angrily.
She didn't mean that, she was just pissed.
"It's still morning, you're not done with work until 6 so what happens to the kids?" I ask.
"I'll have to carry them to work with me."
"They can come home with me if you like. I'm not busy or everything," I suggest.
