MICHEAL POV
"You guys hurry up, your mom will be here soon," I tell Aziel and Egypt.

My shirt was soaking wet because a pipe underneath the kitchen sink burst and I got sprayed while fixing it.

"Micheal, can I talk to you about something?" Aziel asks.

"Yeah sure. You wanna go in the kitchen?" I ask.

He nodded and followed me into the kitchen.

"Mommy said that Egypt has to dads because of you and our dad at home," he starts.

"Uhuh," I confirm.

Where is he going with this?

"So I was wondering, can you be my dad too? You don't have to say yes," he asks shyly.

Awww

"Aziel, I'm already your other dad and as long as Egypt's your sister you'll always be my son too," I say.

"Promise?"

"Promise."

The doorbell rang and Aziel ran to answer it.

"Mommy!" they both yell as they hug her.

I hope Alex enjoys this while it lasts cause once their teenagers they won't even want to see us.

"Thanks for watching the kids Micheal."

"Of course. They are my kids too. Alex, can I talk to you in my room?"

"Um, sure. Guys pack your stuff up, when I'm ready you better be too," she orders.

We walked to my bedroom and she sat on the couch as I took my shirt off and grab another one.

I couldn't help but notice how her eyes immediately dropped to my lower body.

"So uh, what is it?"

"It's about Arnold," I begin.

She sighed frustratingly before asking, "What now? He's a murderer? A thief? A father of outside children? What is it? You know I'm sick of you trying to dig up dirt on Arnold and get him out of my life so you can come back."

You wouldn't bet.

"It's not about you. Arnold isn't who you think he is. Alex, Arnold is indeed a killer and a father to outside children," I speak.

"Why would you make up such a sick fabrication about an innocent person?"

"It is not a lie Alex. You know I'm still getting over you but you are not worth telling a lie for," I say.

"Oh."

Shit! That came out worse than expected.

"I never meant it like that Alex. Just listen to me, you need to keep one eye open with Arnold—"

"Babe I—Oh," Amara says as she saw Alex in my room.

"It's not what it looks like," I defend.

"Yeah, I was just leaving," Alex says as she walks out.

"Bye, dad!" I hear the kids say from downstairs.

"Bye!" I shout back.

"Why did she have to come all the way up here to talk to you, SHIRTLESS?!"

"Babe, it's not like that. My shirt was wet from the hole in the pipe, which I fixed, and I invited Alex to my room because we needed to talk about something private. Nothing happened, I swear," I explain as I wrap my hands around her waist.
