"Hey. Hey." A voice said before I felt something tap me on the shoulder. "Hey. What's your-name?" A boy said. It was Kaleb. "Sun's almost down. We can't stay here." He added. "Patrols will be out soon. We got to move." Jed instructed. "Where the hell are we?" I asked. "Damn, white girl. Mystic Falls. You said your father could help us get out of here. Maybe down to Mexico." Kaleb answered. "Dr. Saltzman is your father, right? And you know where to find him?" Jed asked me. "Why are their eyes all scratched out?" I asked the two boys as I looked around at the dozens of wanted posters plastered everywhere. "'Cause they're finally free." Kaleb answered looking around himself. "Hey. Come on." Jed said to Kaleb.

"Death is better than being hunted by Triad until you starve, bruh

"Death is better than being hunted by Triad until you starve, bruh." Kaleb argued. "Klaus Mikaelson." I whispered to myself. The sound of a helicopter passed over us. "Speaking of. It's time to bounce." Jed stated. I turned around to see a militia walking down the road. "Okay, lead the way, blondie. I hope the Supernatural Railroad isn't just a fairy tale." Jed said as Kaleb pulled me to my feet and pushed me along.

We walked into a dilapidated Salvatore Boarding school that has been boarded up. It looked horrible...and haunted. The three of us headed down a dimly lit corridor where we found multiple people holding candles gathered around an object. It looked like a casket. "Welcome to the Resistance. I wish I could say it was under better circumstances." A girl said. I turned out to be Penelope with tears in her eyes. So she can pull off the whole rebel soldier look too? She looked over at me with a glare. "You've got a lot of nerve, showing up here." Penelope told me as everyone else turned around to stare at me. "Penelope, what's going on?" I asked her. "At least you earned this mental breakdown. Leave, before I feed you to the vamps." Penelope spat. "Please, just tell me what's happening." I begged. "Out!" She shouted. I looked passed her at the coffin. "Who died?" I asked. She scoffed. I turned around to see my Dad back to normal with his crossbow. "Dad. What's going on? Why is this world like this?" I asked him as he pulled me into a hug. "Sweetie..." He said pulling away. "What?" I asked. "...you can't be here." He finished.

"You ran away. I've been worried sick, looking for you." Dad said as the two of us walked into a room filled with papers, pictures, and maps. "Why would I run?" I questioned. "You don't remember what happened?" He asked turning to look at me. "Must be some sort of amnesia triggered by the trauma." Dad stated. "What trauma?" I asked. "It doesn't matter now." Dad countered. "All that matters is that you're home. Not that we can stay much longer. Triad's closing in every day." He said looking down at a map with a red circle around an area of land. "The world knows about vampires?" I asked picking up a newspaper.
