JOSIE

SALVATORE SCHOOL

I sat in my bed sick to my stomach...the honor council had just voted my dad out of being the headmaster after we found out he had set up a contingency plan years ago that would keep the supernaturals in this school from leaving if we ever got out of control. But this sickness felt...different. I got out of the bed when I felt the urge to throw up. I hurried to the bathroom and puked into the toilet. I rubbed my stomach before flushing the toilet. I sluggishly left the bathroom and got into bed before hearing my phone buzz. I picked it up and found it was a voice-mail from Landon. I furrowed my brows and listened to it. "Hey Jo...by the time you get this...Things will be different....You won't remember me. But I want you to remember something. Remember our first kiss. Remember how I saved you. Remember how you saved me...Remember...that I love you, Saltzman." The voice-mail ended and I was left wondering. One, that wasn't Landon's voice...so who called? And two, who loved me?

HOPE

TRIAD INDUSTRIES

I woke up and found Landon looking at his phone confused. "Landon!" I exclaimed running to him before planting my lips onto his and hugging him. "What happened?" I asked. "That's the thing...I don't know." He said looking over the railing. I did the same and found that the pit....was empty. "Did you do that?" I asked. "With what? My magical resurrecting powers? I don't think so." Landon stated. "Then who did?" I asked. "I don't know but someone left a voicemail on my phone to Josie and a note....to me." He explained. "By who?" I asked. "Don't know. It's signed as 'S.M.'" He said showing me the note. "Who's S.M.?" I asked. "No clue. Thought you would know." He answered. "And Alaric woke up to find a burning pile of files." He added. "So the question is...who sent the voicemail...and left me the note?" He asked. "And more importantly...who destroyed the pit?" I asked looking up from the empty crater at the Phoenix. "And who was forgotten?" I added.

KLAUS

NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA

I sat in Rousseau's Bar talking to Freya when I felt something  strange. I furrowed my brows confused. "Klaus? You okay?" Freya asked. "Yeah...Forgive me. I feel like I forgot something." I answered. "Did you forget to turn off the stove?" She asked with a smirk. "Hilarious. And no. I didn't." I stated. What could I have forgotten? Did I not do something that I was supposed to? Well...okay...that's a normal thing for me. I always do that. I thought long and hard trying to remember but nothing came to mind. I shrugged. "Must not be important I guess." I told Freya when my phone rang. I answered it. "Caroline! Surprised to see you calling me." I said. "Wouldn't have to if you had remembered to pick me up from the airport like you were supposed to." Caroline answered annoyed. That's what I forgot! "Sorry, love. Must've slipped my mind. I'm on my way now." I said with hanging up. I got up from the stool and passed the wall covered in pictures of friends we've lost and family. I paused for a moment staring at a picture of my family together when Hope was young. I furrowed my brows. "Odd. Who's he?" I asked Freya pointing at a small boy sitting adjacent to Hope in a red zip-up hoodie and blue jeans. He had shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes. "I don't know. Maybe he's an old friend of Hope." Freya suggested with a shrug. I nodded my head. "Huh. Never noticed." I said before leaving the bar to go to the airport.
