Killian began explaining everything that happened with the goddess. By the time he was finished, night had fallen the moon shining down brightly onto the two males.
"Killian... Y-you believed h-her? I mean, I understand how she could seem very convincing, especially after the traumatic experience you suffered..." Azari mumbled, fiddling with a piece of his long white hair.
The dusty pink fairy's bright eyes were fixated on Azari, he reached out his hand and placed it on top of the elf's to stop him from fiddling "Azari, I believed her because she was the one who kept me alive, I never knew you were the one who saved me. I must find the one responsible for my injuries and talk to them about why they did it. I am truly sorry I trusted that vile woman instead of talking to you first as I am also sorry for acting out when I first came back" Killian explained, rambling wasn't something he usually did but for some reason, today, he couldn't stop talking.
Azari stayed quiet, nodding in response. The male felt sick to his stomach that someone who had saved his life as a child would do such a tedious and hurtful thing towards him. Finally, the elf spoke up "Killian, I must confront the goddess, what she did was not right. But for now, can we spend some time alone?" he asked nervously, Azari's whole body was shaking, the night was cold, and he had nothing but some shorts and a shirt on.
Killian looked at Azari with such a soft expression as he wrapped his arms around him to warm him up. "of course we can, tomorrow we can begin tying up loose ends with anyone and everyone involved with my near death experience" he chuckled softly trying to play it off but what the pretty pink fairy really wanted to do was burst down into tears right then and there.
A few hours flew by, the pair had been talking the entire time about their own likes and dislikes, how they see their future panning out and how hungry they were. "And so, I vote that steak with mash potatoes and gravy is the winner for the most irresistible food in the world, try to change my mind angel" Killian spoke proudly, raising an eyebrow and waiting on Azari's response.
"But, what about curly fries? Don't you like those too?" the white-haired male responded just as proud with his answer. Killian scoffed and mumbled to himself. Azari was correct, he did as a matter of fact enjoy a good curly fry but alas the fairy could not bring himself to own up to that. Instead he cupped Azari's cheek and placed his cherry red lips against the elf's plump lips, kissing him softly and passionately.
The kiss lasted what felt like forever, eventually Azari pulled away, a very noticeable blush over his face and at the points of his little elf ears. "K-killian" he whispered in shock, not quite sure how to respond or what to do next. All Killian could do was look into Azari's eyes happily, his own eyes turning a brighter shade of pink than usual. But what happened next had took them both by surprise and not the good kind either.
The two males' heads swiftly turn to see the goddess with her fireflies and an awfully familiar face. Killian gasped realising who she was but it took Azari a few moments to recall his memory of why she looked so familiar. "Hello Azari, dear" the goddess was the first to speak, she was as graceful as ever when speaking but Azari could see through all her beauty now, she was toxic, worse than the devil himself. "what do you want now?" he spat out bitterly glaring at the glowing woman standing before him alongside her stood the fairy from before only this time she looked slightly different which was the reason the elf could not identify her so quickly. The fairy whose name was still not known was now wearing a cute frilly, royal blue dress, her dusty blue hair had been let down, it was long, reaching all the way down her back. "it's you..." a voice from behind Azari finally spoke up, Killian began walking towards them, his gaze never leaving the girl "Sapphire, what are you doing with that woman? Why would you be beside her? Wait..." realisation had smacked Killian in the face.
"Oh Killian, dear brother of mine don't you understand? I did this for the pure fact nobody likes you, but I was not involved with what the goddess said to you. That was purely all her I must not take any credit for that genius idea" Sapphire chuckled sadistically, turning her gaze towards Azari "and you, elf scum. You two deserve each other, you're both completely messed up all you do is hurt people heck Azari, your own mother killed herself because of drink and your father went and worked himself into his grave next to her" she scoffed walking toward Killian "don't worry Killian, next time I'll do a better job" she whispered as she flew away, disappearing into the trees.
Azari stumbled backwards in shock to what he heard her say "Killian... I must go... I have to go home to my parents, they can't be dead I'm certain that sapphire was just pretending you know, to get into my head, right?" tears formed in the pure hearted elf's eyes, his bottom lip was quivering and his whole body began shaking once more but this time it was not from the cold.
The goddess began laughing before Killian had a chance to comfort his lover, "Oh dear, this is wonderful, absolutely wonderful. See, the information Sapphire told you about your other parents were indeed correct, they passed away some weeks ago but Azari love, I thought you did not care any longer. You were the one that ran away, were you not?" she raised a brow, moving as fast as lightening towards Azari, she grabbed his chin and leaned close to him "don't worry little elf, now you can be all alone just as you always wanted" she hissed in his ear like a snake.
Daylight began to break through the night sky, Azari grew angry, his eyes turning pure black, his hands stretched out revealing his palms with a slight glow coming from them. The usually calm elf had unlocked something within himself that the goddess and his nymph mother was terrified of. "do not EVER speak of my parents, either of them. Not even my nymph mother or so help me I will strike you down with little to no effort" Azari growled, the glowing becoming brighter the angrier he became. Eventually the goddess backed away, her expression changed dramatically, the once confident woman now looked completely uneasy at what could unfold in this very moment. Killian moved out of the way trying to find a firm branch to perch himself on to watch Azari in action "so, she wasn't lying about his power after all, huh. I hope we can still go eat after this though" Killian grumbled to himself as he stayed out of sight.
"Azari, you don't have to get so worked up. I am extremely sorry please accept my apology and as a way of proving how sorry I am, I will tell Sapphire to leave Killian alone. I also will not come here again, I will not bother you ever again, Azari please I'm so deeply sorry!" the woman began pleading with the elf. "No. I will not accept your apology, you are a twisted, toxic little bitch. You stood by whilst Sapphire hurt and almost KILLED her own brother, you tried to poison my own boyfriend against me and now you are pleading for forgiveness? Go to hell" Azari began manipulating the entire forest, flowers were wilting and beginning to dry up, the water from the river disappeared, everything become so dark that the only light source were Azari, the goddess and her fireflies before she knew it Azari swung his hands into the air and then down in front of him. Thorns began flying at the goddess each one hitting her, in her chest, her face, legs, arms and stomach. "A-A-Azari..." she gasped, blood sputtering out of mouth and onto the ground.
"I said GO TO HELL!!" Azari screamed at the top of his lungs, more power began coursing through his body, he had uprooted a nearby tree and held it above the woman, his eyes were now a golden colour, he had completely lost who he truly is and without a second thought, just like that, the sweet white-haired elf slammed the tree straight on top of the glowing goddess. "Az! Stop!" Killian stepped in and wrapped his arms around the male "it's over, you did what you had to do, calm down now baby" he cooed and kissed Azari's cheek. Azari calmed down almost instantly; the forest returned to normal. The young male looked into Killian's perfectly pink coloured eyes and smiled "I'm sorry, I couldn't control myself... is she?" he trailed into silence waiting for confirmation. "yes Azari, the goddess is gone, for good but now the fireflies have no where to call home and no one to follow" the fairy sighed looking at the glowing bugs with such sorrow.
Azari walked over to the fireflies "I've always had a thing for these little guys, I have some in a jar back home, they agreed to be my light source when I was a kid, they've stayed with me ever since so I guess I can take these little fellers in as well" he chuckled playing around with them. "Azari... I hate to be a pain but..." Killian's stomach began to growl, his face turning a brighter shade of pink than his hair.
"Let us go eat some food, but seriously though, steak or curly fries? You must choose one or the other!" Azari giggled holding onto Killian's arm, little did they know that Sapphire was watching their every move.
