Christmas at Hogwarts was amazing and the only thing Hope regretted, was that her parents couldn't be here too. She regretted leaving them alone, but even so, they wished her 'Happy Christmas' and 'We miss you very much' in their letters. The thought that they probably went to her grandfather for the holiday, relaxed her and eased the guilty.
The feast was also amazing. A hundred fat, roast turkeys; mountains of roast and boiled potatoes; platters of chipolatas; tureens of buttered peas, silver boats of thick, rich gravy and cranberry sauce - and stacks of wizard crackers every few feet along the table.
Hope pulled a wizard cracker with Fred and it didn't just bang, it went off with a blast like a cannon and engulfed them all in a cloud of blue smoke, while from the inside exploded a rear admiral's hat and several live, white mice. Up at the High Table, Dumbledore had swapped his pointed wizard's hat for a flowered bonnet, and was chuckling merrily at a joke Professor Flitwick had just read him.
Flaming Christmas puddings followed the turkey. Percy nearly broke his teeth on a silver sickle embedded in his slice. She also saw how Harry umped his pockets full of things out of the crackers.
After they left, Hope, Fred, George, Ron and Harry went outside for a furious snowball fight, from which they've returned cold, wet and gasping for breath. Then, Hope followed them to the Gryffindor room to warm up by the fire, while also having Percy giving them disapprovingly glares.
She reckoned that in this time of year, she probably spent time in their common room than in hers. She realised that the only times she went in Hufflepuff common room was to sleep.
After a meal of turkey sandwiches, crumpets, trifle, and Christmas cake, everyone felt too full and sleepy to do much before bed except sit and watch Percy chase Fred and George all over Gryffindor tower because they'd stolen his prefect badge. As she watched thought, she started feeling groggier and groggier, and before she knew, she slowly slipped into darkness.

That morning, she was awoken by something tickling her nose. She scrunched it, in hopes that whatever was bothering her would get the message and go away, but it didn't seem to have worked. After minutes of trying to make whatever was bothering her leave (with no success), she slowly opened her eyes and sleepy looked around to see where the disturbance was coming from.
"Ah! Good morning! Awake yet Hope?"
"We didn't wake you, did we? I would feel terrible!"
Of course the twins were at fault. Hope, no longer sleepy, rolled her eyes and rouse from the bed. As she did so, she also looked at her surroundings, which weren't her room. Of course they weren't in her room, Fred and George couldn't have been here if they were, but then...
"W-what am I doing here? How d-did I get here?"
"You don't remember?" said George in a confused tone, "You spent Christmas here the whole day yesterday."
Yeah, of course. Now she remembered. Yesterday she had one of the most wonderful Christmas Eves.
"Anyway, we wanted to wake you up, but you were so unresistably cute, that we just had to tickle you. Be glad that it was just your nose," said Fred with a smirk.
Hope only the spotted a large owl feather on the table beside the sofa she slept on. She also asked them what time it was, and realized that breakfast will end soon.
"Why didn't at least you two, went?"
"And leave a damsel in distress in a lion's nest? What kind of gentlemen will we be then?!" said George dramatically.
