Fred kept to his promise. Every chance he got, he would embarrass Ginny about her unnatural shyness and make most situations 200% awkward. George went on with it, but was still careful to not hurt his little sister's feelings too much. Nevertheless, Hope was very thankful for that. With Harry here, she barely saw Ginny out of her room and Hope didn't want another reason for her to keep herself looked up in her room.
But with or without Harry here, life at the Burrow wasn't that different, just that Fred and George had another little brother to annoy.
"Did you notice Percy locking himself up in his room again?" started Fred once. "Not that isn't a normal thing for him to do, but this summer he did that oftener and comes downstairs only for food."
"Well, Ron did mention once that Percy didn't want to burrow his owl. Maybe because he was using it," pipes Hope.
"Do you think he writes to his imaginary friend?" snickered George.
"Don't be mean, I'm sure Percy has friends."
"Yeah sure, like that's possible."
"Com-"
"But if, through some miracle, he does have, I bet you anything they're all prefects. Nothing less for our perfect prefect Perce."
Just then, a shout was heard from below them.
"Dinner's ready! Come down now!" shouted Mrs. Weasley.
George finished with his part on their newest invention and got up, followed by Fred and Hope.
"Well then, let's go. Who can ever refuse a homemade dinner made by mom?"

One sunny morning, about a week after Harry arrived at the Burrow, Hope heard from Hogwarts. Mr. and Mrs. Weasley were already at the kitchen table and she came just in time to see Ginny accidentally knocking her porridge bowl to the floor with a loud clatter. Harry and Ron just came in, and Hope remarked that Ginny seemed very prone to knock things over whenever Harry entered a room. She dived under the table to retrieve the bowl and emerged with her face glowing like the setting sun.
Undisturbed, Harry sat down and took the toast Mrs. Weasley offered him. "Letters from school," said Mr. Weasley, passing Harry, Ron and Hope identical envelopes of yellowish parchment, addressed in green ink. "Dumbledore already knows you're here, Harry —doesn't miss a trick, that man. You two've got them, too," he added, as Fred and George ambled in, still in their pajamas.
For a few minutes there was silence as they all read their letters. Hope's told her to catch the Hogwarts Express as usual from King's Cross station on September first. There was also a list of the new books she'd need for the coming year.
SECOND-YEAR STUDENTS WILL REQUIRE:
The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 2 by Miranda Goshawk Break with a Banshee by Gilderoy Lockhart
Gadding with Ghouls by Gilderoy Lockhart
Holidays with Hags by Gilderoy Lockhart
43 Travels with Trolls by Gilderoy Lockhart
Voyages with Vampires by Gilderoy Lockhart
Wanderings with Werewolves by Gilderoy Lockhart
Year with the Yeti by Gilderoy Lockhart
Fred, who had finished his own list, peered over at Hope's.
"You've been told to get all Lockhart's books, too!" he said. "The new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher must be a fan —bet it's a witch."
