"The book 'Commandments of the Sun' of famous author Zi Yu (Translated as 'Purple Rain') has won first place of the 'Top Romance Anthology Books'. As expected of our country's most famous author!" The reporter said as Jiang Cheng stared at the television where the reporter is seen.
"I didn't know that it won first place and you guys know? I didn't even know that it was nominated to compete there!" He said ashamed of hiself. How come a mere people from Telivision knows it first before him? How is that even possible? He will surely have to talk with the publishing house he's under.
Jiang Cheng sighed and stood up before preparing for the day. He took a quick bath and dressed up before packing up his things and left his apartment.
He pulled out his phone and earphones and connected the wire device to the phone before proceeding to turn on a loud music.
After a 30 minutes walk, he arrived at a cafe with a sign 'HuaiCheng Cafe' and entered.
"Wanyin, good morning." Nie Huaisang, who is the owner of the cafe, greeted him as he grind some cofee beans.
"Morning, Huaisang. How's things doing here?" He greeted back.
"All fine."
Jiang Cheng noticed the men in black suites in the corner of his eyes, probably some bodyguards.
He went to the staffs' room and remove his purple hoodie and wore a white polo and then his purple apron. Purple is life. Life is purple.
He went out the staffs' room and took an order attached to the cupboard and started to prepare it.
He inched a bit closer to Nie Huaisang and started to whisper to each other.
"Which family did they came from?" He asked, knowing that Nie Huaisang already knows what's he talking about.
"I don't know. But they can't be from my family. My family's bodyguards looks like they are former sumo wrestlers with their big bodies." Nie Huaisang replied.
"I know what you mean. If they're not from your family then whose?" Jiang Cheng created a pan cake mix before pouring it gently to a pan.
"Not yours?" Nie Huaisang said as he put the cup of cofee on a tray with a strawberry shortcake that they orderrd to Wen Qing and his brother Wen Ning, outcasts from the Wen family, who runs a bakery and is their regular supplier.
"My family's bodyguards always has this annoying black shades like the sun is right infront of them." He frowned as flipped the pan cake.
Nie Huaisang chuckled and went to deliver the order to the customer. He continued to cook the pancake when suddenly, one of the men in black approached the counter.
Jiang Cheng turned around and said, "Can i help you with anything, sir?"
The tall, bald man fidgeted a bit before saying, "Eight orders of those pancakes, please?" Jiang Cheng nearly choked on his own saliva. Well there is nothing wrong with liking pancakes and even bodyguards could like them as well, but it's just shocking that eight sturdy looking bodyguards likes them. But what made Jiang Cheng almost choke is that he was afraid that the guy might be from his family and recognize him.
"Sure sir, it will take some time though." He responded. The bodyguard nodded a bit and turned around before stopping.
"Oh! I need to ask you something." Jiang Cheng felt his heart skip, what if they really were from his family? Oh god, he's busted.
The man showed him a photo of a young boy with feminine features in a yellow uniform with a red dot on his forehead.
"Have you seen this young man somewhere around here?" He asked and Jiang Cheng raised a brow and stared closely at the child. Red dot on the forehead. Where did he saw that again? He was pretty certain that he saw some men having those around like pimples. Then it hit him. The Jin company! Family members of the Jin company has those things! But he can't tell him he knew which family he came from. Some few families also has them. But this specific lad? He can feel that he came from the Jins.
