Back In Time || tom riddle x harry

Harry's pov

"Harry, I wish to ask something rather big of you.... I only wish you will understand what I am saying and you will think about this properly before answering" Dumbledore said as I sat down in his rather ugly looking chair

"Professor?" I said, asking for him to go on. He sighed and got up and sat on his desk looking at me with that shine in his eyes.

"You do know that tom riddle is Voldemort am I correct?" Dumbledore asked. I nodded my head

"His memory told me, back in second year" I replied. Dumbledore smiled and nodded his head.

"Well... as I am sure you are very aware that Voldemort is slowly trying to get back in power again?" Dumbledore said moving around a little to make himself more comfortable on his desk. I once again nodded my head, I have not the simplest idea of where this is going but I do wish he would hurry up, I have to study for my DADA homework with Ron, draco and hermione.

"Again my boy I do not want you to feel to much pressure on this, please take the time you need to think this through"  he said I once again just simply nodded my head. He sighed and closed his eyes for a short moment before opening them again and looking at me with confidence and concern.

"Harry, I wish for you to travel into the time line when tom riddle was your age, 16." He said. I knitted my eyebrows and looked at him questionably

"Sir why exactly?" I asked. He smiled and continued talking

"I wish for you to change the way that tom lives. Maybe hide from him if you wish and give simple hints in the other direction from where he is now. But also if you wish you can show yourself to him and maybe befriend him, changing his life that way. What ever way you choose I hope you will simply win over his choices" he said to me. I took a deep breath, 'dont feel pressure' he says, how am I not ment to! This is crazy.... but all the same I didnt exactly think the idea was totally stupid. It wouldn't  hurt to try would it? I mean, surely it couldn't get worse.

"But of course nobody here would know what life is like now for it all would have never happened, the only ones that will know of the change would be yourself and I. If you do agree to this I will send a letter with a timeline owl to my past self to let myself know why and what's going on" Dumbledore said. I sighed and nodded my head once again

"Again please dont overthink it my boy-" he was talking but I was no longer listening, I started to think about what he had just told me, the idea was brilliant! Maybe then I could get my mum and dad back, they never would have been killed!

"I'll do it!" I said cutting him off. He looked at me and smiled

"Harry, I have asked you to think-"

"I just did, I'll do it" I said. He smiled and nodded his head

"Okay" he said simply. I smiled and nodded my head

"You can go then Harry, do tell your friends where you will be" Dumbledore said with a laugh

"Tomorrow night sound okay to leave?" He asked as I got up

"Yeah" i replied a little nervously. He smiled and I left.
