"A Bone Dragon..? We're all doomed!" A random villager exclaimed after peeking his head out to look at the being in the sky.

It was a skeletal dragon with onyx eyes that frightened anyone who looked straight into them.

It looked at the whole village like they were afternoon snacks ready to be consumed.

The whole village was in terror.

No one dared to make a sound, afraid of catching the dragon' eyes.

Then, a sound broke the silence.

A child's cry was deafening in the ears of the villagers. This was a scenario they had been desperately wanted to avoid, but alas, an ignorant child knows no such matters.

The Bone Dragon's eyesight fell onto the little child. Its mouth slowly opened to reveal a purplish black ray of light, aimed at the child.

Everyone near the child scattered to avoid taking a hit.

However, one woman refused to hide. Instead, she ran towards the child.

"ELIZA! NO!" Aria screamed at the young woman rushing to save the child. Upon arriving, Eliza held the child in her embrace and comforted him, uncaring of the consequences she might face.

The attack did not stop.

Zing!

A sharp sound of laser like beam resounded.

And in the middle of the village, there was now a spectacular blood splatter around a woman. It resembled a red hibiscus at first, but more blood started pouring and ruined the pattern.

"Eliza, you-" Aria grabbed her sword that Raon gifted her with and threw it.

With Aria's aim power, the blade safely reached the dragon. It made a shallow crack in one of the dragon's ribs.

The dragon wailed.

If she could, she truly wanted to fly up there and personally slay that insensitive monster.

However, dragons were aerial monsters.

After realizing that there was a threat, the dragon made a turn and left the village in great hurry.

Eliza was on the brink of death.

If only the potion inventory was accessible, perhaps she could've been saved.

Aria's heart was itchy.

"Thank... you," Eliza weakly said.

Leon was crying fountains by their side. His sister, who was fine just minutes ago had been reduced to this state just by a single attack.

"A..ria," Eliza called. Aria's eyelashes trembled as she looked at Eliza deep in the eyes.

Eliza moved her line of sight to Leon and made a gesture to exclude him from the conversation.

This might be Eliza's final moments. Aria debated whether to follow Eliza's wishes or not, but decided to follow it in the end.

Leon was still crying when he was coerced to leave the room for a bit.

"...If you would," Aria confirmed Leon's departure and sat back down.

"I want you to become Raon's master," Eliza poured her last strength into forming concrete words, showing her determination.

"You-"

"You don't have to comfort me. I know I won't survive," Eliza helplessly smiled.

"...You are the strongest person I know," Aria didn't know how to comfort the dying Eliza. All of it happened too sudden.
