Chapter 40: Euphoria

She hugged me.

Again.

For the second time.

"Thank you..." She said looking into my eyes.

"How many times did you thanked me?" I said "I told you, you don't have to..." I added

"Why wouldn't I? You made good things for me. Even though we can't see each other often, you're not giving up.. and even more thankful because you're here.. taking care of me than sleeping at home.." she said

"I'm just making up to those times that I can't see you. That's why I chose to stay here all night and take care of you than sleeping that I can do anytime." I said to her and she nodded. "You should take a rest now." I added

"You too..." She answered

"I'll just put this in the sink..." I said and finally left her room.

After I putted the dishes in the sink, i immediately went back to her room. And saw her on her phone.

"I told you to rest. Do you know that radiation is not bad for an ill person." I scolded her.

"Okay. Doc..Okay." she said while chuckling and raising his hands up sign that she's surrendering and putted her phone down.

I sat beside her bed and stared at her. Just stared at her.

"Don't look to much... It's intimidating..." She said.

"You have to really sleep now. It's already past 2.." I told her and settled her blanket on her.

"You should sleep too.." she said

"I'll sleep once I see you sleeping.." I said still being stubborn.

"Sing for me then..." She requested

"W-hat song do you want??" I asked. I sang multiple times in front of many people but why am I nervous right now?

"Uhh.. how about.. Euphoria.." she said and I nodded.

I started to sing for her...

I finished the song and saw her sound asleep. I settled her blanket again. And received a call from Jin hyung.

He asked me why I'm not home yet. He even scolded me. He wants me home. And I can't do anything but to obey him. Chaeyoung is already sleeping so I better go home now.

Like what Jennie noona said, I knocked to her door. Gladly after 4 knocks she showed uu her face.

"Noona I have to go now.. Jin hyung called me already.." I said and she nodded.

"How's Chaeyoung?" She asked me whole we're walking towards the door.

"She already ate and took her medicine. She's now sleeping..." I said

"Thanks Jungkook.. she'll really appreciate what you did for her tonight.." she said

"Don't mention it noona.. I just took care of her.. I want to see her too. It's been a month..." I said and we finally reached the door.
