The next morning, I joined my family for breakfast my father wouldn't talk or look at me.

"Dad, I know your pissed at me but I'm not going to let you run my life and tell me what to do."

"I found you the perfect husband."

"Bradley's not the perfect husband there is no such thing as a perfect husband or perfect relationship Bradley wasn't the right guy for me. He can stay sharing his bed with other women I'll find myself a husband on my own." I stated, glaring at my father.

"You can eat your meals in your room you are no longer aloud to eat with us!!" my father bellowed.

I rose from my chair and left the dining room I walked upstairs to the second floor and turned left and walked down the hall I entered the library. I closed the french doors behind myself I sat down in my favorite reading chair. I left the library and walked back downstairs I walked out the front door and walked down to the beach. I sat down on the sand and stared at the ocean and listened to the waves reach the shore.

"Mind if I join you?"

I glanced up and saw Jamie standing over me.

"You can join me." I sighed.

My big brother sat beside me on the sand we watched the waves hit the shore.

"I'm sorry that dad is treating you like this." Jamie said.

"I told Ricky how I feel about him last night."

"What did he say when you told him?"

"He likes me more than as a best friend Ricky was going to ask his parents how can he become human."

"I'm happy for you, Maddie." He smiled.

"Thank you," I said.

Jamie rose to his feet and walked back towards the castle I sat on the beach and played in the sand. I glanced up and spotted Katherine walking towards me she joined me on the sand.

"Your father is a demanding man."

"Tell me about it,"

"Your father demands that I give him grandchildren." Katherine stated annoyed.

"That's all he wants now since I'm no longer a royal." I replied.

"Jamie and I will try when we return home."

Katherine and I played in the sand and skipped rocks.

"I'm sorry that my father is demanding that you and Jamie give him grandchildren this is all of my fault." I apologized.

"I don't blame you for refusing to marrying Bradley." She said.

Katherine and I returned to the castle we washed up for lunch and entered the dining room.

"Madeline what did I tell you at breakfast."

"I'm not eating in my meals in my room I'm going to eat meals with everyone else."

"Anthony, I'm tired of your behavior Madeline will continue to eat in the dining room and I want you to stop demanding that Katherine and Jamie give you grandchildren!!" my mother shouted.

"Lillian, our daughter is no longer a royal she can't have meals with us or attend balls or events." my father explained, pouring himself a glass of whiskey.

I left the dining room with my plate and glass of ice tea I ate my lunch in the peaceful library while reading the Complete Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe I was reading Annabel Lee. After lunch I took my plate and empty glass down to the kitchen the staff greeted me warmly.
