Under The Sea

Chapter 8

The following morning, I entered the kitchen and greeted Amanda, Samantha, Jimmy, and James while I put on my apron and tied it in the back. 

"Maddie, where's Ricky?" James asked worried. 

"He's still in bed sleeping." I said. 

"I'm giving you the day off so you two can spend time together." 

I untied the apron and removed it I hung up my apron and left the kitchen I made my way back to my room. I walked back into my room I closed the door softly behind me I removed my shoes, yoga pants, and t-shirt I crawled back into bed with Ricky and fell back to sleep. When I woke up, I felt Ricky hold me closer against his chest. 

"Morning princess." 

"Morning my love." 

"Are we officially a couple?" I asked. 

"Of course." Ricky smiled. 

"Samantha gave me the day off so we can spend time together." 

"Sounds perfect."

Roman brought Ricky and I breakfast he left the room and closed the door. 

"What's on your mind?" I asked, taking a bite of bacon. 

"Does the staff think we're having sex?" He said. 

"Not that I know of. Are you able to reproduce?" 

"I can reproduce but our offspring will be human like me." Ricky stated, grabbing a piece of toast. 

Later on, that morning Ricky and I were relaxing by the Koi fish pond Jamie and Katherine walked over to us. 

"Maddie, have you seen mom and dad?" 

"No, I haven't seen mom or dad since yesterday they might be in their room discussing about another heir for the throne." 

"I'll leave them a note saying that Katherine and I are returning home." Jamie said. 

"Be careful going home." I replied. 

I climbed to my feet I hugged Jamie and Katherine good-bye the returned my hug. 

"Ricky take good care of my little sister." 

"I will take good care of Maddie, I promise." 

Jamie and Ricky shook hands Katherine hugged Ricky, he hugged her back Jamie and Katherine headed back inside the castle. 

"Would you like to see the library?" I asked. 

"Yes please," Ricky smiled. 

We walked back inside the castle I led Ricky to the library I opened the doors and entered the library he stepped into the room and closed the doors behind us. 

"I never seen so many books." 

"I spend a lot of time here it's my quiet place." 

Ricky sat down in the Victorian styled chair he pulled me onto his lap and kissed my cheek. 

"Does the kitchen staff take requests?" Ricky asked. 

"Yes, they take requests." I replied. 

"I'll be right back." 

I climbed off his lap Ricky left the library I sat down in the chair and finished reading the last story in the Complete Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe. When I was finished reading the book, I closed the book and laid it on my lap Ricky returned to the library he sat down in the other Victorian styled chair on the other side of me.
