Under The Sea

Chapter 7

The next morning at dawn I returned to the beach wearing a light purple cocktail dress a few seconds later Ricky popped up in the water he looked at me and smiled. 

"Are you ready?" 

"Yes," 

I stepped into the water Ricky held out his hand I placed my hand in his. 

"Hold on to my hand tightly and don't let go." Ricky instructed. 

I held tightly onto his hand Ricky and I dove underwater he placed an air bubble over my nose and mouth I stopped holding my breath we swam to his kingdom. 

"Welcome to the kingdom of Maidtara!" 

"It's beautiful." 

The kingdom of Maidtara looks like any other kingdom except it doesn't have roads or cars. When we arrived at the castle, we swam inside the castle Ricky led us to the king and queen's throne room. 

"Welcome back Richard Snow." the king and queen said with a warm smile. 

"Thank you, your majesty's." Ricky smiled. 

"Is this the girl who's world you wish to join?" 

"Yes, your majesty." 

I was nervous meeting the king and queen because this could make or break if Ricky is allowed to join my world or not. 

"Tell me child what is your name?" the queen asked, gazing at me curiously. 

"I'm Madeline Collins." I answered. 

"I'm queen Alexa and this is my husband king Alexander, Richard told us a lot about you. My husband and I need to know do you love Richard?" 

"Yes, your majesty's I've loved Ricky since we were children." 

"Richard told us that you were betrothed but you refused to marry the man that you were betrothed to." Alexander said. 

"Yes sir, I refused to marry my betrothed because I didn't love him and he sleeps around I caught him having sex with a barmaid in an alley." I explained. 

"Are you two willing to support each other through the ups and downs?" 

"Yes, your majesty." 

The king and queen were speaking to each other in hushed voices the suspense was killing me. 

"Your majesty's can I just say one more thing Madeline and I would give up everything to be together." Ricky stated. 

"That's all my husband and I wanted to know was how far you two would go for each other." Alexa said. 

"Congratulations Richard, your request has been approved enjoy your new life with Madeline." 

"Thank you, your majesty's." 

Suddenly water started swirling around Ricky's tail fin his tail vanished and was replaced with human legs the king placed an air bubble over Ricky's nose and mouth we swam out of the castle and swam back the way we came. Ricky and I swam towards the surface when our heads broke the surface the air bubbles on our faces disappeared, we swam back to shore I walked out of the water. 

"Maddie, I can't get out of the water." Ricky said. 

"I'll wrap my beach towel around your waist." I smiled. 

I grabbed my beach towel off the sand Ricky walked out of the water I held the towel out to him Ricky wrapped it around his waist. We left the beach and walked back inside the castle I quietly led Ricky to my room we walked into my room I closed the door behind us.
