Kokichi walks towards school, like always, ready for a new day at school... Well, he wish he was as ready, because in reality, he was nervous. Today marked the day that he would ask Kaito to go out with him. He had tried being nothing but nice to him lately, and it seemed to be working! He had just hoped that Kaito would accept his confession.

After finally getting to school, he went to his locker and unpacked his things. He couldn't help but smile though while doing so. He was so excited yet nervous about telling Kaito about how he felt. Heck! He had already thought out about what they would do for their first date! He could barley contain his little giggles as he thought about what would happen. He stood at his locker, still smiling until his thoughts were interrupted by a tap on his shoulder.

"Hm?" He turned around to come face to face with Kaito, causing a light blush to dust across his cheeks, he shook his head, as if trying to make the blush go away and grinned, "What is it, Kaito?" He asked.

"You were kinda just standing there and I was wondering what was wrong," He told Kokichi, scratching the back of his neck.

"Hm? Oh, yeah! Don't worry! I was just thinking about what I was gonna do with Shuichi when he comes over later today!" He lied.

"Oh? Sounds fun. Do you think I could come with?" Kaito asked the smaller boy before him.

"Hm... I'll think about it since I don't want a silly astronaut like you to ruin the fun!" Kokichi replied with a giggle.

Kaito just snickered, "Shut up, you gremlin," He smirked, ruffling Kokichi's hair.

Kokichi whined in dissatisfaction, pulling Kaito's hand away from his head before grinning again. That was when the bell rang.

"Oh, that's our cue, Kokichi," He said before motioning for Kokichi to follow him, "Come on, let's get to class," He said.

Kokichi nodded before walking over to Kaito and to class.

"School felt EXTRA boring today," Kokichi told Kaito, Kaito shook his head.

"That's what you always say, Kokichi," He told the shorter boy.

Kokichi only giggled before taking Kaito's hand and leading him out of the classroom, "Come on, Kaito! I need to tell you something!"

"Wait," Said someone from behind the two.

Kokichi stopped in his tracks and turned around. It was Maki.

"Hm? What is it, Maki roll?" Kaito said, letting go of Kokichi's hand and walking over to her.

"I... Need to talk to you in private," She said as a small blush dusted across her cheeks.

Kaito turned to Kokichi, "Hey... Kokichi? May you step out of the classroom for a sec? I'll be right out!" He asked with a smile.

Kokichi pouted a bit before nodding and turning away. He walked out the door and closed it behind him, but before he could close the door all the way, he decided to listen to what they were talking about. He peeked through the window and silently listened to the conversation.

"So... What is it, Maki roll?" Kaito asked the red eyed girl in front of him.

"Kaito... Ever since I first met you, I had always had these feelings that I can't explain, whenever you looked at me, my heart began beating, and I never knew why, up until I finally realized... I liked you, not just as a... Friend..." She trailed off, her face now completely red with blush as she ran her fingers through her hair.

"Maki roll-" Before Kaito could say anything else she continued.

"What I'm saying is Kaito, I like you.. A lot and... I wanna... Go out with you," She mumbled.

Kaito paused before grinning happily, hugging Maki, "I'd love to! Is this a dream, oh please don't be a dream!" Kaito said as he continued hugging Maki.

Kokichi could only watch as Maki then kissed Kaito. It was all he needed to see before he ran away, out of the school. He didn't even bother to get his things he just... Needed to get out of there. He needed to be alone.

He ran and ran, not stopping for anyone or anything. He continued running until he had finally gotten home. He lived alone so he didn't need to worry about anyone seeing him crying. He hurried inside and ran upstairs, his tears already beginning to run down his cheeks.

He finally got into bed, more and more tears beginning to flow down his pale cheeks. He curled up into a ball, wishing that this was all some bad dream, but unfortunately it wasn't. This was reality, he was gonna have to deal with it.

He continued crying, until he heard a small noise. He opened his eyes only to be met with... Stars? Where did these even come from? He wiped his face and looked at his hand. The same stars were on his hand now. His eyes widened in shock as he ran to the bathroom. He looked at himself in the mirror. There he could see, eyes filled with bright, star shaped tears that would make small twinkle noises when they fell.

They only made him cry more, for they reminded him of the dumb astronaut he had fell in love with.

Kaito Momota.

He hated even thinking of his name now.

Kaito Momota.

The one he had fallen for.

Kaito Momota.

The one who broke his heart.

Kaito Momota.

The one who had made him cry these stary tears.

It was only then that he realized he had star tear disease, and that there was nothing he could do about it except to cry and cry until he finally loses his memories and his ability to see, forever.

He cried and cried, nonstop until he became tired, he didn't even bother eating or taking out his purple contact lense. He just laid in bed, crying all day until he finally fell asleep.

The next morning, Kokichi woke up, covered in the tiny stars he cried. Although some of them had disappeared.

Today he decided he would stay home.
