Kaito got to school, and when he got to class, he immediately noticed something was wrong.

Kokichi wasn't there.

If Kokichi had still been as rude and obnoxious before, but as of lately, he had been really kind! Heck, Kokichi even invited Kaito over for a day, and they were able to have fun without fighting once! Well... Does playful fighting count?

Anyways...

It seemed a bit boring not having Kokichi waltzing around the classroom as usual, or him coming up to Kaito for his "daily hug" As Kokichi liked to call it.

Perhaps the little leader was just a little bit sick today and decided to stay home? Yeah, that's it! Kaito was sure he was just fine at home!

But...

Why did he feel as if something were wrong?

Nah! It's probably nothing! Kaito was sure that Kokichi would be back in a few days! Maybe even tomorrow if he's lucky!

Kaito sat down at his seat and began coversating with Maki, his new girlfriend.

And he could never be happier.

*//*//*

Kokichi walked around his house groggily since it was first thing in the morning. He went to the kitchen and made himself a bowl of cereal. He had been feeling so emotional because of his disease.

It really sucked.

He just had to hope that perhaps maybe it would go away, and that he'd stop liking Kaito!

Kaito...

Kaito...

Kokichi began tearing up at the thought of him once again. He tried his best to hold it back but failed, and ended up bursting out into ugly sobs.

Stary tears ran down his cheeks as he looked down at his uneaten breakfast. Small stars fell into the bowl, probably making his food salty, although he had never actually tried eating one of the star tears, he doubted they would taste good anyway!

He shoved his bowl of cereal away sniffing as he wiped his tears, not feeling like eating and went back to his room to get dressed. Once he was done getting dressed, packed up a lunch for himself, he was gonna go to the park, because why not? Going outside, he grabbed his bike and hopped on it, putting his helmet on before riding off towards the park.

*//*//*

Kokichi arrived at the park and got off his bike. No one was there except for him, unfortunately.

Hm...

Maybe DICE could join him!

He got his phone out and texted DICE in a group chat he made

Kokichi🎲: Hey, guys! I'm at the park rn, does anyone wanna join me?

Skippy♟: Sure, boss!

Oro🎭: I've got nothing to do today, so I'll be right over, boss.

Lolly🧩: I'll be over in a sec!!!!!

Kokichi smiled to himself as he put his phone away and waited. Soon enough, the three came.

"Hiiii bossss!" Said a cheerful girl with long brown hair. That was Lolly.

"Sup!" Said a boy with strange yellow hair that stuck up in all different directions. That was Skippy.

"Hey," Waved a boy who was verrry tall, had a big ol' red afro and quite a deep voice. That was Oro.

Lolly hugged Kokichi tightly, "I've missed you so, so, so, so, much, boss! How are you? How's school? Are you getting enough sleep?!" She continued on with the questions.

All Kokichi said was, "I miss you too!" Before grinning happily. She giggled, finally pulling away from him.

"How are you, dude?" Asked Skippy as he and Kokichi fist pumped.

"I'm great!" He lied with a smile.

"You're lying," Said Oro, looking down at Kokichi.

Kokichi remembered that Oro was the best at telling if someone was lying out of all of them, he was practically a lie detector at this point! The two looked at him with a frown.

"What's wrong, boss? You can tell us anything, you know that, right?" Lolly said.

Kokichi stayed silent and looked at the ground.

"Dude... Seriously, tell us what's going on-" Before Skippy could say anything else, Oro cut him off.

"Don't push him," He told the smaller yellow haired boy. He sighed in defeat.

Kokichi quickly changed the subject, "Race you guys to the swing!" He grinned before running over to the swing set. Lolly and Skippy followed right behind while Oro walked over.

Once the four were there, they all got on the swing- well, minus Oro. Instead he pushed the three on the swing as they childishly giggled with joy.

"Weeeee~!" Cheered Lolly.

"Yahoo!" Skippy said as he jumped off the swing while it was high up in the hair and landing on his feet.

"And he sticks the landing! Wooo! Go Skippy!" Kokichi laughed, clapping for him. Skippy bowed with a grin.

Kokichi and Lolly soon did the same after him, "Guys! Let's go to the jungle gym!" Kokichi said before running over to it. Oro simply watched them as he walked over to a bench.

It was pretty fun being able to hang out with them to say the least.

*//*//*

The sun was setting and the four were all pretty tired after a long day of playing at the park. Kokichi waved at Skippy and Lolly whom were leaving, but Oro stayed put. They stared at each other before Oro crouched down.

"Kokichi," He started, surprising him at the sudden change of names, "Something is really wrong, I could tell by the way you reacted to me calling you out on your lie, "What's the matter? He asked.

"Nothing," Kokichi replied. He didn't have any sort of expression on his face. He was just... Emotionless.

Oro sighed, "Fine, then. If you need anything, just give us a call, ok? You know that we're always available." He said before walking away.

Kokichi sighed before getting on his bike and putting on his helmet, he was about to go until his phone buzzed. He took it out and unlocked it, finding that Kaito had texted him.

Kaito...

He opened the message.

Kaito🚀: Hey, why'd u stay home today?

Kokichi🎲 is typing...

...

...

...

Long story short, he left his message on read.
