Akame and I were walking together at the dock. We hadn't said a word the entire time since what was said in the cafe. I was silent because I didn't know what to answer with. That thought was stuck in my head. What do I want to do once I graduate. Under normal circumstances in my world, I'd go off to college or something. I'd get a job and live my life. Here, it's different yet similar. I didn't know what to do since I had no experience with the lifestyle of this world despite it being similar to mine.

Y/n: "*sighs* I'm just confusing myself"

Akame: "Don't ponder too much into it"

It was as if she read my mind or something.

Y/n: "I can't help it. I'm not sure what to do"

Akame: "Well... we could always keep the team and hunt Grimm"

Y/n: "Then what? What if we manage to do the impossible and defeat the source of it? Then what?"

Akame: "Y/n"

Y/n: "I'm just not sure what to do-"

She put a finger on my lips to shut me up as we reach the end of the dock. She takes a seat down at the edge and pats next to her.

Akame: "Join me"

I oblige and take a seat as we look out at the vast body of water ahead of us.

Akame: "Sometimes... I want to just quit"

Y/n: "Being a huntress?"

Akame: "Yea.. part of me wants to go back. Take care of my sister and explore the world"

Y/n: "I didn't know you had a sister"

Akame: "I do. She's happily in a school learning how to do normal stuff compared to me. I never saw myself in an office. I always wanted to explore the world but all that changed when I met you"

Y/n: "Well sorry for being such a buzz kill"

I get grumpy as I think what I could of done to kill her dream.

Akame: "I didn't meant it in a bad way"

Y/n: "Hm?"

Akame: "I want to get a couple of things of my chest"

Y/n: "Shoot"

Akame: "Ever since I met you, I knew there was something special about you. You had all the qualities to make for an incredible hunter. Maybe the greatest one. The amount of weapons you wield and how many techniques you have make you unstoppable... I was a little jealous of you"

Y/n: "Jealous? Of me?"

Akame: "Yea. A little angry too"

Y/n: "I don't get why you would feel anger but go ahead"

Akame: "You had all the skillsets but.. your heart wasn't in the right place. You would constantly reject others and do things your way.. a very disturbing way"

Y/n: "I was a bit of an asshole now that I think back on it"

Akame: "I was fine with that"

Y/n: "Really?!"

Akame: "Yea.. all I wanted was a place where my little sister could live happily without having to worry about Grimm. If I could accomplish that, I wouldn't care how it was made"

Y/n: "And you thought that I was the key to that?"

Akame: "Of course. In my opinion, we have the best shot ever to take down the source of whatever is creating Grimm because you are here"
