I was rereading the series and I thought it would be cool to see Kinkajou's POV of the love spell. I'll try my best to make it good but this part doesn't have as much fluff as I would like! Also, I will be using the dialogue from the 9th book, Talons of Power. The dialogue will be underlined. And I won't use/write all of the dialogue because that will take really long and some of it is insignificant anyway. I wish more of it was my own work, but I couldn't write this without Tui's dialogue. And a lot of this is summarizing. Basically, it's not my best work.

For the first time in a few weeks, Kinkajou gained some consciousness. She heard the buzz of the rainforest's insects and smelled the sweet scent of the fruit. Her eyes twitched from the vibrant golden glow of the sunlight spilling into the healer's hut. She heard the voices of the healers, albeit muffled and quiet. There were others there too, but the presence of these dragons were much more familiar. One of the voices- a female dragonet, by the sound of it- was muttering to herself.

Suddenly, the other voice shrieked at the first one. "What? Anemone! You can't do that!"

"You'll thank me later," Anemone said confidently. "When you're maaaaaaaaaaarried and have lots of little pink dragonets with webbed talons!"

Kinkajou interjected. "Who's getting married?"

She felt the familiar tingle of her scales changing color from a blank white to vivid swirls of orange and gold as she turned her bright green eyes to Turtle and Anemone.

"Hey, Turtle," she said sleepily. "We missed you on our heroic quest."

"I missed you, too," he choked out.

"Whoa! This place looks exactly like the rainforest!"

"It is the rainforest," Turtle said. "You're home. There's ... a lot to explain."

"Hiiiii," Anemone said, elbowing Turtle out of the way. "I'm Princess Anemone. I don't think we officially met at school. I'm the one who totally just saved your life." She fluffed her wings and stretched her neck a little longer.

"Oh, wow. Thank you," Kinkajou said earnestly. "Um — saved my life from what?"

"You got clobbered by a bad guy," Anemone said. "You've been unconscious for, like, days. You might never have woken up except that Turtle begged me to heal you." She poked Turtle's backside with her tail.

"What bad guy?" Kinkajou cried. "Did we clobber her back? Three moons, did I miss all the excitement AGAIN?" She flared her wings, and was alarmed when she didn't see the black scars from Grandeur's venom. Turtle informed her that Anemone had healed her with her animus magic.

There was a startling crash outside and a huge black shape rose above the trees and spoke to Anemone briefly. Anemone beckoned for Kinkajou to come to her side. She realized with alarm that the shape was actually a dragon. He was a large black dragon- a NightWing- with the standard silver scales scattered under his wings. Like Moon, he also had the teardrop scales near his eyes. He was about three times the size of an adult dragon and definitely much scarier. She didn't know why, but he creeped her out.

"YIKES! Who are you? You are SO BIG!" she yelped.

He didn't answer her, but instead turned to Anemone and berated her for using her magic without running the spell by him first. Then, he informed Glory of the SandWing's plot to kill her and created a prison for the incoming prisoners.

"So that dragon's totally evil," she said to an anxious looking Turtle. He looked at her and filled her in on everything that happened since she was knocked unconscious. Annoyed bursts of orange spread across her scales as she realized SHE MISSED EVERYTHING AGAIN.
