Virgil in a house as he looked up at the woman in front of him,she had beautiful emerald eyes and midnight hair with black cat features like him.
"Let's try to one more time Virgil,say Mama."she encouraged,Virgil giggled"m-m-ma-mama!"the woman smiled brightly and picked up the tiny toddler Virgil"yes!I'm Mama,Virgil!"
Virgil giggled and brushed his tail against the woman's face,the woman letted out a small purr and rested her head on Virgil making him mew.
"Oh,sorry,forgot!"the woman said pushing Virgil's bangs away from his eye"I'm not really used to it."Virgil snuggled his face into the woman's pale blue shirt making her smile.
The woman sighed"I'm going to miss you,Virgil."Virgil tilted his head making his small ears flop"m-mama?"the woman smiled sadly"yes,good boy."
Someone knocked on the door making the woman flinch"they're here."the woman placed Virgil on her bed and walked away,Virgil hummed and looked around.
The woman opened the door to two men a head taller then the already short alien"Mrs.Cathedral,we believe it is the prince's first birthday."the woman nodded"please,call me Anya."she letted the men in.
"May we see the prince,Anya Cathedral?"one asked more kindly than the other"of course,I'll go get him."she turned and walked into her room.
Virgil smiled"Mama!"Anya smiled and picked up her child"yes,it's Mama Virgil."Virgil giggled and grabbed onto her ear and tugged it softly"no,no.don't do that,baby."Virgil pouted as Anya chuckled"let's go."
Anya walked to the men as Virgil looked at them nervously"you will take care of my little star,right?"Anya asked"of course,Mrs.Cathedral."the first man said.
Anya hesitantly kissed Virgil's cheek and handed him to the smaller man"I hope he'll be a good king."the man nodded"of course he will,we promise Anya Cathedral."Anya nodded"goodbye for now."the first man turned and walked away.
"Wait,what is your name?"the man holding the baby halted"Thomas Sanders,at your service."Thomas informed,Anya smiled softly"I can tell you're a good man Thomas,please raise Virgil knowing his life outside the palace."
Thomas nodded"as you wish Anya Cathedral,I hope you have a good day."Anya nodded"goodbye."Thomas then turned and walked away,Virgil looked up at Thomas"M-Mama?"Thomas smiled down at him"don't worry,Mama isn't leaving you."
