The group walked back to the ship,Thomas hopped in and pressed some buttons before a screen came up.
The council members appeared"Thomas,have you found the prince?"Thomas shook his head"I just have a thought,what if we didn't bring him back?"
"Are you insane,he's our future king!"a council member blurted out"i know but have you taken a moment to realize how much he hates his life as the prince?he's miserable and we don't want a miserable prince,do we?"
The council listened as Thomas continued"we shouldn't keep Prince Virgil like a animal,if we do that he could never survive long as a king.so,I believe we should let him be,these are one of the few wishes he's made and we can't ignore them."
The council looked at eachother"even if we do,who shall rule?he bares the royal mark."Thomas smiled softly"what if we compromised,you will vote on who in the council will be of the crown.if we find Virgil then we'll tell him there's a ruler and he may stay wherever he pleases."
The countess spoke up after a long time"we will consider it on one condition,if you find Virgil you must tell him to come back seasonally.for the solstices."Thomas nodded"you have my word m'lady."
The meeting ended and Thomas turned to Virgil"so only a week for times a year?"Virgil sighed"I guess that can work,at least I have a chance of staying."
Virgil looked back to Roman"we have a chance!"he announced"yes!"Roman cheered giving Virgil a hug,Virgil chuckled and clinged to Roman as he put his legs around his waist.
Thomas and the others looked to each other awkwardly"are they showing affection or are they fighting?"Remus asked"it could be both."Janus shrugged.
"So,who wants Ramen?"Virgil asked"what's Ramen?"Virgil smiled"something that's gonna change your life."
