Virgil knocked on Roman's door"yeah?"he grumbled"hey Ro..w-wanna go out?"Roman shot up in bed"sure!"

Virgil waited in the living room as Roman walked out"where do you want to go?"Virgil looked to the floor"I-I just wanted to drive around.."Roman smiled"as you wish."

Roman was in the car with Virgil,he decided to turn on the radio.

Virgil smiled"this is the best song!"Roman stifled a laugh"Virgil this is a car ad."Virgil ignored him and danced in his seat"come down,come down and gets some cars.yeah!"Virgil mumbled along.

Roman sighed and turned the curb,the ad passed and the song riptide went on(it's catchy don't judge me.)Virgil tilted his head as he listened.

"Do you like it?"Virgil nodded and Roman turned it up"lady,running down to the riptide~."Roman sang along"taken away to the darkside!"Virgil yelled along"Virgil,try singing it."Roman urged.

"How do you sing?"Roman thought for a moment"put some pizazz in your voice."Virgil nodded and got ready"here's this movie that I'll think you'll like~."Roman sang.

"This guy decides to quit his job and heads to New York City~."Virgil sang"you got it!"Roman cheered.

"Oh~.and they come unstuck~."Roman sang,Virgil smiled"lady,running down to the riptide~.taken away to the darkside~.i wanna be your left hand man~!"

Roman smiled"I love you,when you're singing that song and I got a lump in my throat cause you're gonna get the words wrong~."Virgil chuckled.

Virgil walked into the gas station with Roman"get whatever your heart desires,Mi Amor."Virgil nodded and looked around.

Roman looked at the chip options and hummed"hi!"Roman looked around and saw a woman around her age"do you come here often?"she asked leaning against the shelf.

Roman raised a eyebrow"well,it's a gas station."he played dumb to get her to leave,she chuckled"I gotta say,you're pretty cute."she flirted.

Roman ignored her and tried to choose between Doritos,Virgil's ear flicked under his beanie as he heard the woman and peeked out from the other isle.

"So,do you have anyone waiting for you at home?"she asked getting a bit closer to Roman,Virgil immediately felt enraged no!mine!

Virgil shot over and got between them"hands off lady!"he growled defensively,Roman jumped at seeing Virgil.

The woman raised a eyebrow"who are you,short stuff?"Virgil held back a hiss"who are you to be flirting with him?mine!"Virgil growled as he forced himself not to go crazy.

"No one is a item,little boy."Virgil opened his mouth to hiss but fought back the urge,he didn't know where this defensive feeling came from.

"Look,just back off.he's mine.got it?not yours,mine."the woman sighed"fine,catch ya later."she then walked away.

Virgil turned to Roman and eased up as he snuggled his face against Roman's arm"ok Virgil,we're all good now?"Virgil nodded and went back to normal"sorry,I got a bit territorial over you."he mumbled looking to the ground.

"It's alright,I would've done the same to be honest."Virgil looked up at Roman"but I said you were mine like you weren't a being,just a item!"Roman sighed"Virgil,let's clear something up.in a relationship,I'm yours,and you're mine.we're there for each other and we have every reason to feel that way."

Virgil smiled softly"if you say so.."Roman took Virgil's hand and lead him to the cashier.

The couple got home as Virgil sighed and fell back on the couch,he took off his little disguise and stretched.

Roman looked at his boyfriend"hey Virge,do you want to talk about the whole planet thing?"Virgil sighed"we do need to figure that out,maybe we can reason like you said."

Roman nodded"or they can just find someone like you."Virgil glanced away"it doesn't work like that,the current king has to die for a child to have my eye."

Roman hummed"well you're obviously not gonna die,I guess reasoning is the only option."Virgil nodded"the problem is the chance it won't work.."he sat up and brought his knees to his chest.

"I don't want to leave Earth,there's so many beautiful things and I haven't even seen outside this town.a-and I don't want to leave you o-or.."Virgil felt tears sting his eyes.

Roman bolted over and sat beside him"hey,it's going to be ok.i promise you."Virgil sniffled"if you didn't save me and left me to die then there wouldn't be a problem,you should've just left me to die.."

Roman wiped Virgil's tears"Virgil,listen to me.if I left you to die then I would've never meet the amazing,beautiful,strong person you are."Virgil blushed"you charmer..."Roman held out his arms"snuggle time?"

"Snuggle time."Virgil then jumped into Roman's arms,making him chuckle.
