I was just crawling down from my sleeping tree when a boy and a girl burst from the bushes. The boy I knew. With his ghostly face, black shaggy hair, and dark eyes. I knew it was Nico. The girl, I recognized as Selina Ramirez. Her curly brown hair tangled with leaves and twigs. Both Nico and her had dirt smudged on their faces.
A thrashing came from the bushes and Tia emerged. The rough wind blew her short cut red hair in her face. Her grey eyes glares at me as a stepped back. Then she opened her mouth and what she said shocked all the witnesses, not just me.
"YOU JUST STEPPED ON A ENDANGERED PLANT! HOW COULD YOU, YOU MONSTER!"
Tia ran and shoved me of my feet. She crouched by the trampled plant and touched it. It gently began to stretch towards the sky. The clouds moved and the sun shone threw, like Zeus was blessing this plant to grow. The plant opened its buds and warmth spread threw the air.
The flower's petals looked like mini flames, orange yellow and red swirled together. It's leaves were pale green, any lighter, and they would be white.
"The Fire Flower" Tia breathed. She carefully took out a glass dome and placed it over the flower, before dashing off into the woods. Strange.
"Are we killing him or-" Selina asked. I hope not.
"No. Let's just turn around and leave." Nico said hastily.
"How do we know he won't kill us?" She asked.
"Because." Nico smiled, "he will join our alliance.
I just nodded my head in approval.

We walked in silence until nightfall. Nicos back pack had contained a empty water jug, some berries and a thin blanket, along with a knife. Selina had a thin sleeping bag she had grabbed. The sky flashes one face. Only one death. I recognized the face to well. It was a face I had known for a while. The face looked grumpy to have there picture taken. She did not like getting her picture taken.
"Hazel. Hazel just died. Again." Nico whispered.
"Again?" Selina asked. I could see her reason confusion-I would be confused too.
"That's for me and Leo to know and you to find out later." Nico responded. Good save.
We climbed up a tree and strapped our selves on, preparing for the cold night. We had torn Selina's sleeping bag in half so we could share it.
The night was not cold, the night was sweltering hot. But not hot like my fires, the sort of inescapable heat produced from the sun. It felt so wrong for it to be so hot in the middle of the night. It was unnatural.
