i sat on the counter eating take out. at this point it was well past 2 am. payton's untouched food sits in the fridge as mine was slowly being digested. the front door swings open and payton walked in.

i hear him walk upstairs before coming back down and stopping when he saw me eating my food.

"shit babe, i am so so-" payton began.

"4 and a half hours late now are me?" i dryly chuckled.

"i know i know i'm so so so-" he said while coming closer.

"let's hear the excuse," i said while stabbing another bite of food.

"there's no excuses, i am an idiot i know, " he sighs while walking towards me.

he puts his hand on my thighs and looks me int he eyes.

"i'm sorry, it won't happen again," he sincerely apologizes.

"that's what you said last time, and the time before and i'm sick of it. do you not want to spend time with me or something ?" i sadly question.

"no no no nothing like that, i've just been working on music and i forget about everything and lose track of time," he explains.

"look i want you to love what you do but i also would like to be a priority still. i don't think i am anymore," i tell him while looking down.

"hey hey hey no love, you are my first priority and i just want this music career to be success for us that's all."

"yeah."

we talk about more before going up to bed and getting some sleep. in the muring i wake up to an empty bed and i note.

i sigh and get out of bed to get ready for the day. i decide to wear some leggings and a goodie after i shower quickly and then i braid my hair and go down to the kitchen to eat something. just as i open the fridge, i hear payton come in. he walks in the kitchen with bags and a smile.

"good morning beautiful," he smiles while outing the bags on the counter.

"what's all this?" i curiously ask.

"well first here's some breakfast and you can open the rest," he excitedly shares while handing me a mcdonald's bag.

i place the bag down and open the others. in total i find 3 new pairs of shorts, 2 tube tops and two tang tops, a beach hat, a bathing suit cover, some sandals, and nice sunglasses.

"are we having a beach day? "i excitedly ask.

"even better, hawaii all next week," he announces.

i jump up and down in excitement and run over to him to attack him with a hug.

"thank you thank you thank you! i'm so excited!" i beam.

he hugs me back and chuckles at my excitement. i loo through everything again and smile even brighter.

"we leave in two days, just me and you for a whole week my love, now relax a little and eat some breakfast," he smiles.

i comply and sit on the stool and eat my sandwich while payton sits with me and talks about the trip.

"you definitely made up for last night," i tease.

"i'd hope so," he chuckles at me.
