it was the typical best friend and then you catch feelings bullshit. everyone knew i had feelings for josh, except josh.

it was the second to last show for a little bit on the lights out tour and we were doing the meet and greet. i was put next to josh and we had some time to kill before people were actually aloud in so I went over to the griffin.

"why doesn't he like me?" i sigh while leaning my head on griffin's shoulder.

"he does, he never stops talking about you," Griffin reassures.

he pulled me into a quick hug before giving me quick instructions, "act like i said something funny but flirty"

i quickly fake giggled at griffin and had a bugger than normal smile. he releases me from our hug and smiles.

i turned around and saw josh frowning at griffin and i. he quickly turned and walked away to one of the break rooms in the convention.

"i'm gonna check on him," i told griffin before following josh.

i walked through the hall and walked into the first empty room. josh sat at a small table scrolling on his phone with a frown.

"turn that frown upside down!" i commanded with a chuckle.

"oh hey y/n," he said with a small smile.

"what's wrong?" i ask him while sitting beside him.

"nothing but uh are you and griff talking or something?"

"no? why?"

"nothing you guys just seem touchy that's all."

"no i have feelings for someone else and griff was trying to make him jealous. i think it worked."

"oh really? who is it?" josh asked with hope-filled eyes.

"this loser kid named josh who i've known since i was three. he's kind of a dork but something about him grimes me have butterflies and endless smiles 24/7," i grin.

josh shot back a big smile and grabbed my hand. he leaned in slowly and kissed me softly.

"it's about time!" griff said while recording along with payton and anthony.

"you're a dick!" I exclaimed while throwing a pen at griffin.

"yeah a dick who helped you get the guy you've been in love with," he defended.

the guys left after using us for clout on their ig stories so we could talk.

"so where do we stand?" i asked.

"well it's weird to not get to know each other but I know everything about you and vice versa so, will you be my girlfriend?" Josh smiled.

"ask me over dinner and we'll see," i wink.

"you know what you want, i like it," he chuckles.

"okay guys time for meet and greet!" anthony informs us.

right before they let people in we made a quick flirty tiktok on each of our accounts to get fans used to the idea.

meet and greet was filled with cute pictures of us with fans and a lot of encouraging for us to date. what made the day the best was finally getting to spend the night wrapped up in josh's arms.
