Episode 5: Awards Night II

The 56th Baeksang Awards. Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin's first public appearance together since their hit-drama Crash Landing On You ended. Fans all around the world have been waiting for this night to once again, witness the RiRi couple together in one frame. 

I can't believe it. I just can't believe that there are still boundaries even between our sits now. The only difference is that I don't think I would get arrested once I cross it, or not. 

Okay Bin, keep in mind of every single action and interaction we'll do tonight. 

Eyes focused in front. Clapping through every co-actor and actress who receives the award. And my peripheral view too focused on the beautiful woman on my left. 

We definitely agreed to control the stares, but it doesn't mean that my eyes would not see glimpses of her. 

We sit with our co-actors in our drama, and the director as well on one side altogether. There are even two cameramen who I noticed is just staying at our side, not compared to others where they were moving everywhere. That made me even more careful about my actions. 

There would be times that I would steal a quick second glance at Yejin. I see nothing wrong if I will just look at her for a single second, right? That's definitely not considered a stare! 

As I was watching other actors get awarded, I can see from my peripheral view that Yejin was looking somewhere at the back, on our right. My head naturally turned to look at her. She once more faced front, then turned back her head once more to look at the same side she was looking at earlier. Our eyes met for a millisecond, and her facial expression sent a message to me that there was something in that direction. 

Because of my curiosity, I had to slowly turn my head to the same direction my girlfriend looked at, and there I saw one camera that was focused on our direction. I had to wander my eyes around to act less obvious that I saw the same thing Yejin saw. Who knows if that camera is recording? 

Ji Hye won a Style award which we were all surprised for. We can't help but laugh when she turned speechless on stage. 

Our ahjumma Sun Young has also won the supporting actress award. We really thought that she deserved it; as she also represents the other ahjummas in our drama. 

When the commercial break came, almost everyone decided to stand out and did their thing. I decided to head to the comfort room where I met and had a quick talk with some of my co-actors. 

When I head back to the venue, my manager called me saying I received a text from Yejin. 

Cow Yejin: Love, I saw someone drinking a lemonade drink and I suddenly craved it. Can you ask them to get me one? 

This woman is challenging me with her clinginess. I asked my manager to get a lemonade, as well as a bottle of water for me. 

The popularity choice award is now to be called. We were informed that Yejin and I will be receiving this award, but it felt different still when our names were called. 

"The winner for male popularity award, Hyun Bin. The winner for the female popularity award, Son Ye Jin. Congratulations!" 

I felt Yejin glanced at me. She then put her glance away, when I gazed at her. We were both waiting for each other on who will stand up first, so I initiated to do it first. 

All cameras are now surrounding us. This is something we missed during our practice; camera!

I raised my arm forward, asking her to lead the way.
