AUGUST 2020
To: Bin
I just reached home from the golf course. Min Jung dropped me home. Good luck with today's filming, Bin-ssi!Yejin looked at the home clock in her living area; it was six thirty-five in the evening, and with the six hours difference from Jordan, she thought that Bin may have been filming at this very moment under the striking afternoon heat of the sun, and the hot temperature in the foreign country.
She had walked through to go inside her bedroom, opened the door, and laid on top of the coffee table her Under Armour Roland duffle bag she brought with her. It was newly-bought by Bin who did quite a lot of shopping at the same brand store before he left the country.
Yejin was suddenly reminded of how Bin proudly showed his purchase of almost matching duffle bags one evening; one for Yejin and a medium-sized version of a different color for him.
Yejin never thought that she will be into golf this much just like her other Cinderella friends. Not before when she and Bin have started dating that they have found this sport their go-to date place that she slowly had the interest to learn more and more about golf. Competing against each other for some days, challenging the other that the person to win will pay the meal for the night. Right, the person to win must pay so that they won't have to argue and go against each other on who will get hold of the bill first on secluded and private restaurants where they eat their meals.
But now, this home didn't seem like usual. It was silence. Only the sound of the door creaking open, her footsteps, and only her breathing being heard.
She missed him a little extra tonight. It was the first time in a long time that she had gone golfing without him. But what made her decide to agree with the golfing invitation from Min Jung and Jee Won from two days ago was because she was missing him... so bad.
"Golfing today was a bad idea, Eon Jin." She muttered to herself. Turned out, she missed him even more. She let out a sigh and left the room to cook dinner.
From outside her bedroom door, she gaped at the sight of her living area. With just a few lights turned on; home seemed lonelier. It felt empty. It felt incomplete.
"I scored higher points today, Yejin-ah. You know what that means."
She saw Bin on her sofa couch, typing in his smartphone. He looked up at her who has just gone out of her room after she showered and changed into her sleeping clothes, giving her a teasing- or could she say a winning smile. "The food is here. I'll get it." He said as he stood up and went ahead to her main door to get the chicken delivery he ordered for dinner.
Yejin shook her head in laughter and went to the dining area to prepare the plates and utensils needed for dinner.
Minutes later came Binssi, carrying two paper bags from two different stores: one from a BBQ chicken store, and another from a familiar ice cream shop.
"Why did you buy a lot, though?" She asked.
Bin had put it on top of the dining table and slowly take out of the bag the food inside. "Is this a lot?" He eyed her, "You told me you're craving for that fried chicken Yoon Se Ri ate. Your wish will always be my command, Yejin-ssi." He gave her his gorgeous smile, before putting aside the first bag, and held unto the other.
"What is that?" Yejin slowly watched Bin who suspenseful and slowly is taking the food from inside the ice cream store bag. "Bin!"
Bin laughed and took it all out and Yejin parted her lips right when she saw the dessert she has been craving for days. Cookie dough flavored ice cream.
