Episode 12: Not Just Yet

The getting to know stage is one of the most interesting phases group of people, partners, or even students in one classroom would experience. This is a phase where each is interested in learning things about the other; their personalities, likes and dislikes, favorites, and all sorts. People are eager to know these pieces of information, as they look forward to know you more, so they'll be able to get along with you after quite a moment in time. 

Actors Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin have never worked together before, but their paths have crossed multiple times-  and one of which is the PIFAN Awarding in year 2014, where they sat beside each other, and both received an award on the same category of Producer's Choice.  

Yejin thought of how she is beside the successful actor from Secret Garden. He's such a good actor though, she has always thought. Meanwhile, Bin has known the actress sitting beside him all his life. He was even more mesmerized by her beauty once they sat in a close distance. Actress Son has created remarkable works in the industry, and he's one of the people who admire her for her beauty. At that time- they only saw each other as co-actors, each appreciating the other's work and talent in acting. Other than that, nothing else. Maybe, nothing else just yet.

After three years, in the year 2017, Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin were given the opportunity to work together in the film: The Negotiation. Despite the fact that they have just shot only one scene together for the whole movie, there were numerous times that they had to meet-up together with the team and the director for discussions, and meetings. This has started it all. 

It started with the collaboration of ideas as they work their characters Ha Chae-yoon and Min Tae Gu, 'til time passed and they seemed to get closer not just as co-actors in a film, but friends who aim for the same goal. Hence, their interaction with one another has continued even after they finished filming in December that year. 

"Don't deny it to yourself, Bin. You do like her." 

It was a Friday night, so he welcomed his friend, Dong-gun over his apartment just for the usual beer nights, and life talks. They have started discussing on considering a film where both of them would cast together. It was then until they started changing the subject from work to their status in terms of a relationship. 

He is not new in the field of dating. He has dated a number of women he has worked with in the past years since he started in this industry, and now he thinks that he's having a distinct feeling with her attraction to the actress.

"I don't how, or why, or when, but it just happened so suddenly and I realized that; I am too stunned for this woman." He explained. 

"Of course, it's Son Ye Jin! The nation's first love! Everyone looks up to her, and you're lucky to be working with her! I think any guy would fall for her, really." 

"But why, why does this feel different?" He asked to himself. 

Bin has kept denying to himself of what he truly feels. He always states how that feeling might not really be it. Maybe he just likes her because he feels overwhelmed to be working with such a great actress. Or so he thought. They have exchanged text messages almost every single day. He jokes and teases her around. Most days he'll even ask her how her day went. Or what her schedule was for some days. He was denying it, but something inside him is not regretting all the evident actions he constantly shows her; actions that would confirm that he indeed likes her. 

"Seriously? You guys, are just, friends?" Yoon Ah exclaimed her frustration.

"We are!" She defended.
