The Christian life is a daily walk of faith as we are led by the Holy Spirit.

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Romans 1:17 KJV
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

We as Christians are called to a life of holiness and teaches it's a necessity.

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Hebrews 12:14 KJV

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
1 Peter 1:15-16 KJV

Holiness comes by faith, love, and walking after the Spirit. Holiness is not a means of earning salvation but a result of Salvation.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV

For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
Hebrews 12:10 KJV

If we truly love God, we will obey God's commandments. Without love, all attempts to live for God are in vain. When we truly love God, we will actively hate evil and we will seek to become like our Holy God. Love will draw us closer to God then the law will, both in attitudes and disciplined living.
